    A suggestion for you and your buddy, put blocks under the tires it only takes one and you could get hurt if something was to go wrong. I've done heavy recovery and you used straps to secure that load instead of actual chains. I've never used straps to secure a heavy tow only chains. Also you got to pull the drive shaft.

    Lotta professionals in this comment section 🤔 I, personally, enjoy these videos. I prefer to enjoy the content rather than tell someone how to do their job. lol

    Donnie NEVER gives you enough slack to unhook the hook. In a rush to run off and look at something. I find him to be... annoying to watch. I know... nobody's forcing me to watch.

      If Donnie is on a video I end up watching something else. He may own the business but he doesn't know towing.

    I love your videos man, you are definitely a talented smart operator, but poor ole Donnie, he’s either very inexperienced, untalented, or just has no common sense at all, because every video of yours that I’ve seen him in, his decision making skills, and just the way he operates, show his inexperience and lack of common knowledge of this trade! I been in heavy wrecker industry my whole life, and he just doesn’t have it. Lol.

    Did you say you were just going to tow it out of the way to the spare land at the side, it's all rigged up to take it away from the scene (Lights, chains). The tow truck driver seems like a Newby, he got in front by 6 turns, could've done it in 2 - reverse hard left, forwards hard right, and didn't listen to your advice

  • @TtoncenturyDriver
    @TtoncenturyDriver 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Me personally I’d chain forked it and tapped the compressor or dryer and put safety on as you tied it down then driveshaft pulled then lights

    Sneaker and no PPE Texas must have some very lax rules. Our insurance would drop us so fast. Not to mention state police can and will ticket the operator for not wearing PPE. If yall get run over and not wearing class 3 hi viz you will lose in court. The job is dangerous enough without adding unnecessary risks

  • @derekmason4987

    You would be kicked off the accident scene If I was there. No safety PPE worn. Immediate boot and onto the next on duty hook company.

      Midwest towing, or Midwest Truck from Scott City,Mo? Midwest Truck w Ron Pratt would have easily handled it as well. Not saying you did anything wrong, there's more than one way to accomplish most tasks. You get it done w no injuries or additional damage, that's a win!

      Idk, I like watching Ron Pratt, but they are vary slow at what they do even for simple jobs. But its for the sake the of quality work though, kinda like that episode where the rear axle of that little dodge plow truck broke, they took ages.

    A suggestion for you and your buddy , put blocks under the tires it only takes one time before that person has a permanently bad day. 6 feet under, you get the idea . I've done towing also.also turned a wrench for 34 years.

    • @Towtruck_Dustin
      @Towtruck_Dustin  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Definitely would be a good idea on the next one. Thanks for the suggestion!

  • @chrisboek2346

    If u can put on air brakes know it's a harder pull but it helps the rear end track straight will come to u another thing should have hooked up under the truck to a frame or axle as it's more structural

  • @alexanderlacy4005
    @alexanderlacy4005 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Another thing that proves Donnie‘s lack of common knowledge, is the fact he did not take the drive line out of that truck, you always take the driveline out when you told from the front, because the driveline can do damage to the transmission! SMH 🤦🏻‍♂️

    • @Towtruck_Dustin
      @Towtruck_Dustin  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We almost always do, not sure why he didn’t on this one.

    • @alexanderlacy4005
      @alexanderlacy4005 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Towtruck_Dustin yeah, it’s always good to drop the drive line, especially on an automatic, because even in neutral mode, it is still turning the inter shaft in the transmission, and once up get above 20 mph the clutches start looking up turning friction, but because the torque converter is not turning, the transmission is not building oil pressure, witch due to all the internal friction, it will eventually burn the transmission up. It just does not seem like Donnie has the experience you have, and Donnie could stand benefit from taking your advice, but from what I have seen in your videos, he does not take your advice and messes up more than what is necessary.
