- LEGO Harry Potter have released over one hundred sets in the past decade. But, have you ever wondered how these sets look when directly compared to the Harry Potter movies? Well wonder no more, today we're going to find out. We're comparing many sets including Number 12 Grimmauld Place, Hagrid's Hut and the brand new Durmstrang Ship.
The comparison of the huts is wrong. It’s supposed to represent the hut in the first movie, which is different from the one we see in The Prisoner of Azkaban. (Not a two-part house + the dog house is right)
Thanks for your comment. Yes, that has been pointed out now. I did not realise that the hut had changed so much!
Yep, Hagrids change of hut comes with his job promotion to care of magical creatures professor and was located nearer to the forbidden forest, whereas the smaller hut was for when he was keeper of keys and grounds and was nearer to the castle
Thank you for the video
I have to admit, the Durmstrang ship is so impressive, they have recreated it near perfectly, it really shows a positive future if Lego Harry Potter carry’s on being this detailed.
Wish I had room to have this on display, but think the castles and the rest of the sets are a bit more iconic on display. It's really awesome though - maybe one day!
@@brickodan The lego hagrids hut you showed is based off of the first 2 movie specifically the first movie. The scenes you showed are based of the redesign in the third movie.
They made a lego version based off the third movie's version in 2019.
So you should have compared to scenes in the first movie.
Whoops! I wasn’t aware they changed so much. I scoured through the movies to find the dragon egg scene but there’s barely any footage of the outside of the hut in the earlier movies, other than a couple seconds in the dark.
Would agree with all your scores! I love all the details in these sets although some are missed like you’ve said how can they include everything in such a small scale… I guess that’s the films are for.
Exactly we can’t be too critical!
This comparison with the film version is a very nice idea. The quality of the video is remarkable! Share more of this!
Thank you!!
Great video mate.
Glad you enjoyed it
