Yeah, the iOS 6 store hasn’t been working for a little while now. From what I understand, there are 2 different domains for the App Store, an old one and a newer one. The old one has been fully deprecated at this point, but there are ways to direct older versions of the store to the new one if you are jailbroken.

the Apple always finds a way to end everything, I never understood the fact that it doesn't allow you to downgrade to an old version even though you own the device, also several apps stopped working on iOS 6,7, and 8 such as Netflix, Spotify, and several others so bad.
You know what doesn’t work on iOS 6? Find My. My other devices ignore my iPod touch and so does Find My on the device (it’s not able to complete sign in)
So it is half working on my ipad3 on ios 5 but i cant log in only see the top apps and search apps the rest doesnt work and on my ios 6 iphone4 it doesnt work
@@CarandtechloverIt was like that even before the shutdown, seems like only iOS 6+ showed a full list of apps but depending on how old the iDevice is I often had it outright crashing if not lagging profusely when trying to scroll past older years

As of 2023 android 4.4 had a working store, but I suppose it's based off most androids don't get as many major updates as ios defices
Fun fact: Android 4.0 still has a working Playstore too

You can still restore the app store using tweaks. But it's not ideal.

You should update it to iOS 9 instead. You could actually do a lot more with it that way.

Same, pre-iOS 9 App Store stopped working for me in January.
I'm starting to feel apple is done with these versions and the store is not coming back anytime soon.
And it’s still down as of Friday, 17th January 2025
I spent five hours talking to Apple to fix it and I got no success. I will try again again tomorrow tomorrow.
