It doesn't, only the 64 bit iPhones support it (5S and up)

At least in the US, since 3G is gone and 2G will be gone next year, all iPhones before the 6 won’t be able to make calls. 5/5S/5C will continue to support 4G LTE for data but they don’t have Voice Over LTE, they use 3G/2G for calls (though at least for now, FaceTime over LTE data also still works so it can be phone-like)

I miss the old TH-cam the layout was simple and you had no or rarely any ads im fine with one or two but now a days people put too many ads or just seeing ads in general get annoying when trying to watch multiple videos

Ios is made for smaller phones, it looks so goofy and ugly on bigger phones, just my opinion
My mom had a 5c in pink with a black otterbox, used it until 2016 when she got a 6s plus in I believe gold. She never updated it and when we found it in 2022, it was still on iOS 7.1.2, a fun throwback!

I remember using that iPhone on 2015. Too many good memories with that white iPhone 5c. I remember coming back from middle school and watching gameplays of my favorite youtubers in that golden age, so nostalgic
The iPhone XR was the iPhone 5c done right as you get a newer chip than the iPhone X while being a more budget option instead of getting no performance improvements at all.
Minus the fact the xr was ugly

I thought Apple's "budget" options were just last year's models. But I never bought my own new phone yet.
I asked my mom for an iphone 5s that year, came home with a green 5c. I was still wicked excited. Still have the 5c and it still works!
This past week my phone had been sent for repair and I was using an iPhone 5c temporarily, I've never had a phone grab people's attention as much as this did. It was pretty fun such a compact device and since I didn't have much apps, it even gave me decent battery life. Apart from the poor HDR performance even the camera was pretty decent. maybe I'll try jailbreaking it now.

I remember almost getting one of these back in 2015 after breaking my iPhone 4 and needing a new phone... even as a middle schooler though I knew to get the 5s instead, it may not look as cool with the colors but had better hardware which was more important.
The 5C was my first iPhone. Had it in yellow. I liked it back then, but comparing it to the current iPhones (and the current ones back then) it was definitely lagging behind. Tried to resurrect it a few years ago because I was without a phone for a bit and wasn’t able to (kept boot looping after updating the iOS and restoring it on iTunes didn’t work) so I had to sadly throw it away.
Don’t throw it away silly! Should’ve replaced the battery. Battery powered devices tend to lose the battery’s life after sitting for a while.
I had the yellow one too I miss it so much 😢
You should’ve held it for more years and sell it to collectors
Should have recycled it instead of throwing it away lol you might not care now but in 50 years tech will be limited to rich people become of the lack of resources so do yourself a favour and recycle your old technology so that we can make the world a better place 😇

The 5C was the first iPhone I ever had, or the first smartphone ever. I was always on it, browsing the web, downloading games left and right. Those of which I still remember and wish I could play them again. It definitely was a jump in my life. And now I’m always on a device. Which makes me think back on how I entertained myself without one.
And here I am typing this on a 15PM. Things have definitely come a one way.
I really love the smoothness and simplicity of the old iOS versions. I feel like modern iOS has become bloated and the interface is much less smoother compared to the earlier versions.
This vid inspired me to revive my uncle's iphone 5 and it works flawlessly! I love it and I didn't even have to jailbreak it to do most of the things like installing youtube for example
my mom used one of those up until recently! was so slow but still worked, its retired now but she still has it
I loved this phone...always the design reminds me of some 60ies plastic capsule furnitures and it felt so great an lightweight in hands. I was very happy getting to purchase a sealed one some time later to replace my first one.
iOS 7 had a very revolutionary design, and OS. I still use my iPhone 5 on iOS 7 and It doesn’t feel like it’s an old operating system. iOS 7 is nice and modern, while iOS 6 is retro and nostalgic. Put your favorite iOS version in the comments! (Mines iOS 8)

I used to have one in blue. I got it on my birthday in late July to early November 2017. Even my mother had a yellow one. She even had a yellow case from Apple. I bought different colored cases for my from Target for $5.00 each. It was good 1st iPhone. I gotten an iPhone 8 in silver grey for an upgrade in November 2017. Even my mother got it in 8 plus. We both got it in silver grey. I got an iPhone SE in white a day before my birthday in late July 2020. Luckily that I can used the same case from my iPhone 8. I still have the SE as backup towards my iPhone 14 in purple. I got the 14 on Black Friday in November 2022. I have been using it a lot since I got it. The 14 one is the first w/o a home button. It took me awhile to get used to it.
This is making me feel incredibly nostalgic so I had to go an order one off of ebay. Really excited to jailbreak it, I hope all the OG tweaks I had as a kid still exist. Cheers man great video; just what I needed to see.

Facts. When he said he gets the iPhone 5c from eBay its true. I just recently bought one for $20. Even though it is a very old phone it is still very reliable with the right adjustments and tweaks. Thanks for the help.

I want to get an ipod touch 4th gen it's the first ever touchscreen device I used and what's even cooler is I had 2 of them one in black and one in white.

a lot of people seem to gloss over the fact that anything older than the iPhone 6 wont work anymore as they shut down 3g cell networks, and the 6 was the first version to support VOLTE. Although the 5s has the hardware to support VOLTE, but the software never enabled it, so it would be cool to see someone "hack" the 5s somehow to enable that VOLTE capability.
I had the iPhone 5S while my friend had the iPhone 5c and we both loved her 5c.
She used it until 2017, it was such a great phone.
I wish they had kept that exact design with newer technology.
ok im going to admit, for the past 6 years ( up until january ) I was stuck using an iphone 5c with no sim card and it was actually not that bad. iOs 10 was installed on it and it had a few limits but it did the job.
I used an iPhone 5c as my main phone up until around 2021, and it genuinely worked really well especially for an (at the time) almost 10 year old device.
What provider did you use?? If you don’t mind me asking?? Trying to make 5c work now

I have an iPhone 5c as my first ever phone it was my moms and I still have it to this day, I am getting my first repair kit for phones this christmas and I gotta transfer a lot of photos that I don’t wanna lose to a flash drive or computer and I don’t know if I’m gonna use that as my first test repair but I do know I’ll try and get some junk phones from local repair stores and test on them.
I love how the 5c is faster on its last OS then my new 2020 SE was on IOS 15

I actually have two of these exact little gems. However, one of them is iCloud Locked but that doesn't stop me from making a perfectly functional phone out of the two because the one that was iCloud Locked had a functioning battery, a perfectly good screen and all of its screws were present. the other iPhone 5c was destroyed so I took about a week swapping part after part, knowing that the Motherboard was done for, I finally succeeded even though it still needs a charging board swap (I already have the replacement part. I just haven't had the time to do it yet) mentioning that the charging and headphone jack still works totally fine but unfortunately the same couldn't be said for the two pins that connect to the home button on the screen.
basically, saying that I have to press (with adequate force) for any response from the home button. However, replacing this part will fix this problem entirely. this is better than it going to E-Waste.
before people reply to this comment I DO NOT REPAIR other people's devices. I can only give advice relating to specific device problems and a professional will take on the repair and not myself.
Of course there was a second generation 5c: the XR was practically the same approach to a “cheaper-but-not-cheap” iPhone, and it was a great success throughout its life circle
I bought this phone in the Apple Store over the 5s because it felt nicer in my hand and I absolutely regretted buying it 😂 it lasted half a year before I smashed it
Just replaced the battery in mine, likely will last another 6 years as a media player at least, hate the lack of headphone socket/cordless blue-tooth ear buds of the later models and the less e-waste the better.
I had two off the iPhone 5C's a couple off year's ago one was blue and the other was yellow I think but I sold them I wish that I had kept one off them too this very day.
This was one of the best phone I ever had I had the yellow one n it was amazing I really do miss that phone 😢

iPhone 5c was my very first phone, it served me well for a year
Then the battery became weak to the point where it has to be on charge when in use
I recently found an iPhone 5C on iOS 7.1 for C$12. It was untested. It was shipped with iOS 7.1. First thing I did was to save SHSH, so it’s never going to leave iOS 7.1.

I found a working iPhone 5 in ewaste bin and to my amazement it had iOS 6 on it. I kept it as a collection piece because of this.

ios 6 was originally shipped with the 5c then changed quickly during production to ios 7 there are different models.

iOS really needs to have support for apps up to like 10 years or so. My Galaxy S3 released in 2012 can still be flashed with a custom ROM to use Android 11 & run all the essential + latest social media apps just fine.

Only iPhones I’ve had were the 5c and the 11 pro max. I loved the 5c but I don’t know how I managed with only 8gb 😅 their software was so much more limited then so android was much better having a sd card slot etc. Now all phones have no se card or headphone jack and iPhone just works better almost all the time. Love seeing the old apps gonna do this to my iPod touch it needs a new battery though.
