A “ticket scalper” goes to the stadium, buys tickets, and stands outside the stadium selling it for higher. The closest thing to this in Pokemon is cleaning out a local retail store and selling on FB marketplace for higher.
I believe the difference is “time”. If I bought gold 5 years ago at $1,200 and now I sell it at $2,700 I am not scalping, I am investing with the hope of my investment increasing. I have never, and will never, pay inflated prices on sealed product. If you can’t get newer released product at retail or a little above pass on it…..
Dude 2 of my cases finally shipped this morning I have been so worried. I got them at 650 a case and didn't know if they would honor the price but they did. Props to blowout cards for keeping their word on the prismatic and the surging sparks cases i got last time for 620 a case. HIGHLY recommend. Super happy! Wal-Mart still hasn't shipped all my etbs. They shipped an order of 2 yesterday but the order of 10 they still haven't it still says preparing.
will never agree with any store, retail or LCS, selling a product above MSRP, that is pre-release/will be readily available (especially for the next 8 months). They should have no concern with what customers are doing with the product once it leaves the retail/LCS store. I don't even like walmart selling $5 above msrp for their ETBs, didn't buy from gamestop last year or the year before when they decided to mark up their prices (I believe they've gone back down to msrp since) All the shops that have cancelled preorders just to relist higher, go ahead and blacklist them forever.
@@monkey39128 yes it does sound crazy, but it's going to be high. The pull rates seem worse than evolving skies and it's a limited set. These cards are going to easily blow past whatever ES set.
People spending too much time and energy arguing about what is or isn't scalping which doesn't matter. Whether it's scalping or not doesn't effect what's happening so just relax and focus your attention elsewhere.
Not everyone. I may or may not know a store that still sells boxes and ETBs at normal prices. $120s. It’s refreshing to walk in, buy what I want, and not feel abused.
At the end of the day, pokemon is to blame for making the stock so limited. Scalpers are just a byproduct of people overvaluing cardboard and the low stock produced by pokemon.

I have PE up for bid right now. Letting consumers decide the price.
The average person can't be scalping because there's a order limit
Also I don't care about scalping, only care about scalpers accusing people of doing the same thing... There's a word for that
Some people might be scalping but you're evil scalping
If you sell product, you are not a consumer. You're a customer.

Regardless of what everyone thinks. All the money in this space is great

People call other people scalpers when they miss out lmao 😂
The evil vapor saga continues 😅
Bruh I’m new here what’s the lore

prismatic wont be opened + hard pull rate = 2000 dollar moonbreon
more than that...4k raw 15k in a 10, 50k in a black label
@@FlaminHotChips I'm fairly optimistic but that's an insane take.
It will be opened just like Evolving Skies was. Pack rippers are degenerate gamblers.

Is $120 normal now? 😂
@ boosters for 120 is better than online pricing.

it's not limited, there's plenty of it. There's infinitely more people trying to get a piece of the pie this time around.
I can’t wait for this market to crash again
When scarcity is a factor in a high demand products. Everyone wants a cut. Its just the nature of it. Welcome to the world of money 😅
Scalper set market price. Say it for what it is. Nobody like it and I don't like it, but it forces me to sell at scalping price and buy at that price.
I hate collectors and players, they make it expensive for us investors to buy product. 😂
So true.
But what if I do both? Buy to sell so I can have money to collect?!?
@@cardboardnerd Then you have to be doubly hated!!! 😂
@@monkey39128 lol. if you know you know :P
100 percent facts
Id agree with you.
You are evil! 😂
What a take lol #vapor
Like I said, the age of the scalper rises. Hahaha!
