Looks like a nice fridge or cooler
I would love to win this fridge. My husband and I love camping, and, as retirees, we now have time to enjoy our camper. I'm so tired of getting ice for the coolers, watching it melt, pouring the water out, and, repeating the cycle. This fridge would enable us to store and keep drinks, and, some food handy during our camping trips without having to constantly buy ice, drain it, then buying more ice. It also would give me peace of mind knowing that perishable foods (lunchmeat etc) remain at safe and cooled at proper temps. Thank-you for your review and, SetPower for donating this Portable Fridge.
Watched this video and what amazing timing! I have been wanting a small fridge/frzr just like this. Was not aware these were available in this smaller size, only the big, bulky fridges. I would use this when going to the grocery store, as we are quite a ways away from the store. Also, when we go camping, this would be great to use! Just found your channel and have begun to watch your videos. Really very interesting information.
Another beneficial video, Jason. I live in the country so when I shop I buy enough food to last a month. So I'd use the SetPower FC12 as an overflow fridge or freezer. Not everything can go into a freezer as overflow items! So the SetFlow would definitely come in handy either way! Thank you for the video, Jason!

Love the comparison chart, Jason! I'd use this for vancamping. I need to keep my own food cold, plus petfood, and ice has to be refilled every day, plus cleaning a soggy mess from melted ice. This would be so much more convenient
Great looking product. The family and I frequently do 8 hour drives to travel back to West Texas to visit family and friends. This unit would be a better option for such a trip instead of a cooler full of ice. Thanks for the great review.

Looks perfect for what I am looking for. I bought an ICECO 45 rig that is occupied in my radio shack (because I was chopping out ice on a stand up 120V and hit the cooler tube, gas gone now) . I am converting to do some mobile auto repair, (Aug 2nd turn 69) and I need one for my Safari fixer for that. Thanks for the review. I never win but I'll be looking for something like this. Your reviews are the best. Even if it's not anything I'm interested in. The DC capacity testing you and Hobotech do is indispensable. And I just love 12v fridges. All of them.
Now! The Snomaster EXD85L that I told you about in chat the other night. I took it outside. She's a BIG girl! 83 pounds. So set it at 0 for the small and 35 degrees for the big compartment. I put two inside room temperature half gallon jugs of water to see how well it would cool them. And to see how much the compressor ran. 🤨 30 minutes the compartments were down to temp. No way my Dometic or Engels could do that. Talking to Todd at Snomaster he told me the Snomaster compressor is 66w. On my Oupes 1100 the were some ramps to 70+ watts. But I was told the dual zones are capable of more. But once it cooled down it was only pulling 30-35 watts. For only 20 minutes out a hour I figure. And it was 106 yesterday. 2.75 inch thick insulation 🥳 So I figure the published data is correct on the fridge. And as a dual zone will pull about 17-21w an hour.
Thanks The Dude! Those sound like EXCELLENT numbers! I've heard good things about Snomaster so it's good to hear from someone who has real world experience with it! Is the fridge lined on the inside with metal? I've noticed metal lined fridge cool much faster since they come in direct contact with and evaporative coil.
@@Jasonoid So the sides of the bins are of that same metal material like the Iceco's. Except it's been coated with enamel or something. And the compartments are completely sealed. My friend who drives truck has a VL65. Same texture. but his is bare metal, as you are fully aware of. BUT the bottom of mine is smooth. So I'm assuming it's a cooling plate. Cause it gets just as cold as the sides.
I bought this because of the reputation that they have overseas in the Safari and overlanding communities in SA and Australia. And they have been tested. And I like the feature set. And for a appliance, they are pretty. 😂
There's a fridge I want you to look at. It's from Kickass out of Australia. It's a BD50F powered 75L dual zone. They are selling them in the states now. Same warranty as Iceco. Comes with the insulated cover. And has app control. $899.00. And probably the best basket arrangement I've seen.

We camp with friends and never seem to have enough fridge room to store food to share at the suppers. We each bring a couple of dishes and fridge room is limited. This would be a GREAT addition. Thank you for the review. Vicki
Perfect size for my Jeep and when I go Fly my Paramotor on weekend trips. Usually very hot at the beaches and deserts here in So Cal. Perfect for water and those end of day successful flight celebrations with my flying buddy.
Jason, thank you for this review. I am subbed to Setpower's channel. I would love to have this fridge to use as extra freezer space because the freezer in our kitchen refrigerator is so tiny that there is never any room for ice cream.
Thanks for the review Jason. This would be extend my fishing trips when I go camping. I don't like dealing with ice to keep items cool. I just purchased a Bluetti and solar panel. This fridge would be a complete system.
Excellent review! These type of coolers really great for runs to the store where you want to keep frozen items frozen on a hot day. That's how I would use it including camping and traveling.
I would definitely use the SetPower frige out camping, but mostly for day trips when away from home for work or recreation!

I would use it the same way you did! I love going for a picnic with friends and their kids and being the hero who brought the ice cream sandwiches and drumstick cones! Perfect size to put on the floor in the back seat since my kids don't need the legroom.

Great video as always. I would love a fridge of this size for quick overnight camping trips that we take and for picnics at the park. My coworkers and I get together about once a month at a nearby park to get all the kids and families together and this would be perfect to bring along drinks and dinner for my family.

This is perfect timing. Coming home from my last camping trip, I wanted to get a small fridge to use for ice cream, popsicles, etc. and supplement my bigger fridge. This would be perfect.
Another solid review, Jason. I’ve been using my Setpower RV45D since last fall, but for most trips, it’s a little overkill. This would be a great addition for day trips.

It's a little small for many individual items, like gallons of milk, and you might not get much more than a couple of pork loins in it, but it would be good to keep vital meds cold.

I would use this SetPower fridge at my off grid cabin and on camping trips. In fact two of them would be nice for the cabin. One set as a fridge and one set as a freezer.

I am converting a cargo trailer into a camper. I tried a dorm fridge, but for its size, it didn’t hold much food and drinks. And the tiny “freezer” was a joke.
I like the way your refrigerators can also be used as a freezer. The power consumption is so low, too! I’ll be able to use my little Jackery to power it!
Also, thank you for the warning about using the car’s starter battery to power the fridge. That is something I would have done, and may have gotten myself stuck in the boondocks with a dead car battery. That would make for a miserable camping trip.

Good Video Jason. I like the spreadsheets that you offer. It makes it much easier to pick a compressor refrigerator. I would use the SetOower FC 12 as you did for a freezer. It would be the perfect size.

This is the one I have, I checked just now, and really like it, enough that I bought my brother the next size up as a birthday present. I use the one I have as a drink cooler, near my computer desk. I'd use another one for day trips with my wife, or when attending seminars.
This looks like a nice fridge. I would use it camping so that I can carry my own food. Dealing with a cooler, I have take a trip to the grocery store every couple of days during the summer to get ice. This can be troublesome if the store(s) are a good distance away. I have to either deal with buying ice every couple of days or grab take out. Not economical. This is awesome. Thanks for the great videos.

Thanks for the video. I love the spreadsheets. It is the nerd in me. I live in Texas. The use of this freezer/fridge is endless. The main use would be to transfer frozen seafood from my sister’s fish camp on the coast to home. That is a 3 hour drive. By the way it will be 100+ degrees all next week!

This is perfect size to keep in the front of my truck while I am driving.
Nice little fridge you've got there! If you plan to have a sleeping platform in your car, most fridges are pretty tall, so you need to build the platform high and this limits your ability to sit down straight in your car (depends on your vehicle off course). This fridge would be a nice one to build a low-ish sleeping platform in a car + still have enough space to sit straight.
I am looking to use this for groceries and left over takeouts. Great size for that which won’t take up too much space.
I would love to have one of these for family adventures. We have a Ford transit and I would like to build a pull out drawer for the cargo area. It would be pretty awesome to have a fridge incorporated into that drawer system.
My wife and I would use it as a freezer. We are going to start camping full time this fall.

The SetPower FC12 would be the perfect size for my son to use vs. loading up daily a chest with ice. He works outside in Florida doing lawn care, fixing roofs, pressure cleaning driveways, etc. Hydration is a must. This lightweight compact fridge/freezer would be great to win for him.

Actually, believe it or not, this will be my first portable 12V Fridge ... although, I invested in some power stations! I would use it at my house, when I'm chillin' out on my patio, when go on weekend trips (traveling), etc., in fact, any chance that I get, or find, to use it! I love it ... and I love that it's a budget fridge ... and challenging the big boys!
