I love the feature where you don't have to stop at "Stop" signs any more. Definitely worth getting an LCI for that.
Stop signs (in USA) is the most weirdest stuff i saw in my life on the road … especially ridiculous 4 stop signs which makes traffic jams at intersections…
I thought stop signs didn’t apply to bmw drivers?

Nice video. Thanks. Although I must say I'm happy that I rushed to buy pre lci version (my third X5 to date). I don't like the big screen, I think it looks like a big android tablet. Also seems like some serious cost cutting with the higher price tag. No buttons, no comfort access in the back as you pointed. Removed rear seat fold handle from the boot (it even affected my model bought last august). Glad to see that lower tailgate is back mechanical (mine got this option removed due to microchip shortage). Also if I understand correctly the sensafin is not a real leather. Those AC vents knobs looks quite horrible - like a nipples 😂
You got the B58TU engine, this has the new B58TU2 engine, that is in the supra and has toyotas reliability built into it, way more reliable since toyota helped rebuild it to make it reliable for their own standards
Also has way more horsepower and torque
375 and 400 lbs of torque vs your 335
So you got boned raw and dry. This new engine has a 72 hour thermal regulation which prevents plastic components from breaking due to temperature changes

516.29 lb.-ft. Faster than I need and very fuel efficient.

I’m wondering if this is faster than the x3 m40i since it got the same horsepower and for the price too
well this is only 375hp vs 382 and the X3 is light so X3 is still faster. X5 is still $16k more CAD
@@POV_Driving thats true but a well equipped x3 m40i is atleast 10k cad from a base x5 40i. Im sure the x3 is more fun to drive tho

My BMW X5 G05 M Sport 2022 with all the bells and whistles including front massaging seats. I don't see a redesign convincing enough for me to consider an upgrade to 2024. Right now as it stands I will pay more to have less features.
best part of the new X5 for me is the advanced driver assistance package that allows it to be hands free driving (autopilot) on major freeways. also the keyless entry options and the app are class leading.

I'd like Bmw I have a BMW but the problem is every year they take out certain things that were standard one year and then make them as part of a package another year rear climate control should be standard no matter what

Considering the X5 50e, but this updated infotainment system is a mess. Need to simplify, cut some gimmicks, and add back some physical controls.

I agree, all this screen and no buttons is a big distraction. Imagine trying to change the AC temp.

@@The_Stanman The X5 is my dream car and I want to pull the trigger on one end of this year but I'm gonna go with a certified used if the previous model just because of the climate controls. I had a car with all the controls being touch screen and I constantly had to pull over to turn the air up/down. Touchscreens do not belong in cars.
@@richardsontwain6283 totally agree. Getting pre-LCI is the way to go. Tho for plug-in hybrid model the LCI improvements are huge so that's why I'm drawn to the new one for us.

Ordered almost same spec as this went up to M Sport Pro, 4 zone, 22 inch rims plus a few other items. Ordered 3/25 delivered 4/27.

Just sold my 2020 X5 30D for a Tesla MY Per. No comparison. The old media system and phone app software on the X5 was horrendous, hopefully improved substantially with the 2024.

2024 bmw x5 has the new B58TU2 engine vs B58TU in the pre LCI. Toyota helped rebuild this with their own standards and testing added for their own supra, which shares the new revised engine
375 hp and 400 lbs of torque vs 335 of the pre lci
Vanos has been rebuilt to be more durable than any vanos system in any bmw before
Thermal regulation in the engine to slow the temp changes that cracks the plastics
So basically the 2019 to 2023 engine is a pos compared to the new bmw and toyota B58
