    It's time to do some experiments!
    First table tennis training with this interesting combo - Stiga Cybershape + Short pimples.
    In the first part of the video I practiced some drills using short pips on forehand and inverted rubber on backhand, trying to emulate the style of Mattias Falck...one of my idol. :)
    In the second part of the video, I tried a combination of short pips and anti-spin. Here you can see how the rubber behaves in flat shots.
    Finally, in the last part of the video I show how the rubber performs against heavy backspin.
    Based on my first impressions I found the description of the new Tornado Supreme Soft (that can be found on Dr. Neubauer's site) to be very faithful.
    This rubber is very similar to an inverted, you can perform topspin on no spin/backspin ball simply by opening the angle of the racquet more. It is possible to generate good spin because of the grippy surface.
    1° setup:
    - Stiga Cybershape Carbon
    - Dr. Neubauer Tornado Supreme Soft (1.8mm, short pimples)
    - Stiga DNA Platinum M (2.3mm)
    2° setup:
    - Stiga Cybershape Carbon
    - Dr. Neubauer Tornado Supreme Soft (1.8mm, short pimples)
    - Dr. Neubauer A-B-S 3 (2mm, anti-spin)

    Greetings @AndreaAschi , did you use ST or FL handle, and what do you use typically with those antispin combinations because you twiddle sometimes? And happy new year :)

    Thank you for this great video. Could you maybe compare Tornado Supreme to Der Materialspezialist Spinfire? Which one is faster? Grippier? How about speed, spin and control? Keep on playing and producing your amazing videos and always have fun! Thank you!

    Hi, thanks for this great video! I just started playing with Yasaka Rakza PO on my forehand and really am amazed by power and control alike. Could you compare it to Dr. Neubauer Tornado Supreme Soft? Is the latter more spinny, more control? Thanks in advance!

    I wonder why u choose 1,8 on forehand and not the 2.0?

    Assume a fast, offensive blade (Ovtcharov Innerforce ALC) for these questions. How forgiving is the rubber on medium-underspin ball that is short and a little high? W/ regular, fast, inverted rubber, you have to top spin to get it over the net. Is it the same w/ this short pips you used or can you flat hit it more? Also, if you mis-read the spin, how forgiving is the short pips? Example: If the opponent varies the spin during a rally and gives you a mix of top spin and dead balls. Or, let's say opponent gives you a long dead ball on his serve, and you think it has a little underspin (when it doesn't), so you hit it by lifting the ball. Will it overshoot?

    Awesome! Can you serve with a lot of spin? I make a lot of points with my serve and I would like to keep making them if I switch to short pips. Thank you.

      @phenthohn7303 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      With short pips, you will not be able to generate as much spin as with the inverted rubber. If you win your points mostly through spin, stick to inverted.

    I always thought that this combination can be very useful against offensive players, but its hard to play against the defence, until i saw falck playing against the choppers with his short pimple. I believe that one day i will try this combo again, but this time i need to get maximum spinny short pimple, it can work very good then.

    • @AndreaAschi
      @AndreaAschi  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The pips I used in the video are very grippy. I wanted to put the training clip with the defender precisely to show how safely a topspin can be executed even against a strong backspin 😉

    • @e4syybeatbox637
      @e4syybeatbox637 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@AndreaAschi yeah i can see that there's such a good control playing with topspin against heavy backspin. I think if you can even generate that much spin on your serves, or even pushes, that can be a really good thing, to play even better than with the inverted rubber. The thing that i can see is that your attacks against pushes are very fast and flat, its a thing that is hard to deal with.

    • @AndreaAschi

      Hi Rahim!!
      There is no one version better than another. It depends on what you like. For example, I prefer the A-B-S 3 because it has a lot of control and is slow. Maybe you may like the A-B-S 2 PRO better because it is faster and you can put more pressure on your opponent... 😉

    Some ppl say short pips works better with outer carbon blades. Cyber is inner carbon, do you find it very compatible with short pips too?

      I am not a short pips expert but I have tried them on both types of blades.
      I have found them to be extremely good on both inner carbon (like Cybershape) and outer carbon (like Carbonado 190) blades. No big difference!

    Molto interessante soprattutto la combinazione con anti. Secondo me il puntino corto ti da meno stress in ricezione sui servizi velenosi così poi puoi ( teoricamente) andare tu a mettere pressione con colpi piatti e chop block per spezzare il ritmo. Se trovi un puntino corto che da anche un po’ di fastidio nelle schiacciate ( forse DMS produce qualcosa così …) allora ti farai due risate sotto i baffi 😂. A presto
