I just use max health boost skill. Helps with surviving longer against her heat effect and brutal assaults. With luna (mhw version) having as much hp as possible on top of health restoring mechanics is the best way to survive against her imo. Earplugs, Wind res, and Evasion skills helps too.
Ya but not so much against monsters that can 1-2 hit drop u. Sometimes barely, but even so they can quickly drop it back down or reduce it straight to zero. Temp jho and kirin are prime examples. Besides, against luna at least, i feel its actually needed compared to other monsters imo due to how aggressive she is with those blue flames. Sure u can best her without full max health and health regen mechanics, but anything that'll help with survival and increase success im using it. Also, max potions is pretty much a requirement against high lvl threats like her. But i carry them on me regardless. Sometimes ancient potions too.
Capcom should add a special Canta quest with all available ancient dragons plus 3 B52s dropping those magic eggs all around, just to be sure X) Great job as always!

What were they thinking when the designed Luna's hitzones!? At least LS has a way to reach the wings; I don't even want to think about how atrocious this fight must be with DB, SA, Lance, or the like. It's pure artificial difficulty.
what key you press between 0:34-0:36, i knew that dodge cut but always don't know what to click after that to perform that clean cut. hope you can guide
Wow nerg got that work in 1:48 I normally make about 6 mistakes on my combo fighting him but you shredded his spikes in 2 swings how is that? I also noticed how you can interrupt your swings and switch out to the counter strike that boosts you up a level. How do you do that as well I find I can’t dodge or even change my skill sets when the animation is already in play.
One thing that kinda annoys me about teo and Luna especially Luna is just that their hit boxes for the flames are just really hard to distinguish. In older games it was much easier to know if the explosion is going to hit you. In this game the explosions while looking more realistic. Do not give you a very accurate idea of where the hit box actually is. Especially certain Lunastra attacks. Where I don't even know what hit me.
Sorry for sounding so stupid bit is there a way to fight luna solo on an expedition or something? I've fought so many teo and nerg I have no desire to do it anymore. I love luna and would like to farm her solo.

I have a LS build similar to this for Divine Slasher but it's not at its best because I got rid of my one attack decoration for some reason, so my charm is taken up by an attack charm instead of handicraft

I can only speak for myself but I got better by watching other speedrunners and learning from them. Did not expect to get as good as them in a short amount of time just by copying what I see in their videos but it did help me improve bit by bit until I got to the point where I am now
FOX Naked Snake You do know they didn't "make" Lunastra for this game, right. She's part of the series and she's Teostra's mate. That's why they look similar
FOX Naked Snake She's been around 2006 since MHFU. She's did appear much in Monster hunter games unlike the Teostra. Plus in Freedom Unite, you fight her first than the Teostra.
If I can recall, in the old games they had almost identical movesets, and when I say they made her better than teostra its because her moveset is much faster, has bigger hitboxes and she has very little downtime inbetween each move.
Watching this made me realize I miss my long sword. I decided to use a switch axe to start off Monster Hunter World. I used it in MH4U and I miss my red glowing death blade.
