- The old school Samurai is back in the shop building a mobile Sauna that I plan on Barging out to the lake. Im using Yellow Cedar for the interior and metal siding and roof. There will also be three huge floor to ceiling windows to take in the view while using the sauna. Let's get after it!

"...being human and loving each other..", you're much more than just a great carpenter. Thank you.
Love the new cordless nail driver at the end of the video. Shooting is definitely an amazing hobby to enjoy!
If no one else mentioned it, take care that the building flexing when it is moved doesn’t break the windows! Beautiful work!
So HOW and WHAT do you need to incorporate into your design and build that ACCOMODATES that needed FLEXIBILITY while moving??
Nice words of wisdom at the end. I am a cabinetmaker by trade but moved away from it due to a back injury.....now 3 kids later and stuck in an office job...im at the lowest ive ever been. I got to get back on the tools....and doing some projects.....asap for my mental health....even if its for one day a week.
Shooting is so much fun, and therapeutic, and such a great way to spend time with the kids, while teaching them responsibility. I live in Arizona and don't have much use for a sauna, but always enjoy watching your builds.
Here in Finland we use folio in the roof and walls to reflect to heat back to sauna. It is a safety feature also.
There is was looking up taking my PAL license and also building my own sauna in the garden but was struggling with the space wasting barrels types… then boom watched this… the universe provides…
Totally get your comments at the end about play. I’ve made a very successful career in visual effects, and woodworking is my hobby… but the time I spend solving problems in the home shop go a long way to helping me cope with the demands of my job.
Thank you for sharing, thank you for showing the firearm at the end, I know that will ‘trigger’ someone but I really feel the world is starting to turn away from the insanity of recent years.
Cheers. Mark
Love the angled sides. It makes it look so whimsical.
"Makes me go crazy, and not want to be on this planet anymore." Not the phrase you want to hear someone say with a gun in their hands.
That first plane and a deep inhale of cedar... I felt that haha the wife always creeped out when I do that to something I'm building or someone else did... Some get it, some dont
If you don't understand the endorphins released from freshly cut great smelling wood (especially cedar), there's something wrong with you.
you’re so capable it’s insane.
Love the look of that clear yellow cedar
Great Build Jesse! I'm Looking forward to seeing the next steps...I totally agree with your words at the end.
Nice, there is never too many saunas in world.
💪💪
Thank you Mr Samurai & family!❤️👍🏻 really looking forward to the next video 🤩
Love seeing that you've bought yourself a new firearm to start shooting recreationally. Great hobby and fun too. I am an avid shooter and Firearms Safety Instructor and love seeing other enthusiasts getting involved in the sport. Fun teaching family firearms safety and shoot too.
Just the video series i needed!!
You're alive! I'm not sure if it's the algorithm but I feel like I haven't seen you in forever. No pressure, just good to see your skills on display again. Happy new year man!
Love you man. We have nothing in common but i love you man. I will never have a use for a sauna here in sunny South Africa but I'll watch anything you put out. You are such a master.
The South Africans meet here and unite on TH-cam!
Great work! Not gonna lie, this is my favorite channel.
Very cool design! Mobile and with the angled wall! 👍🏻
I cant love the ending more. You're a good dude my man
Hey Samurai, very cool project! You've always been a good source of inspiration to me.

You may or may not be considering adding a drain but I think you'll find its quite useful to have
Good idea
What a blessing to watch after a full days work
I love your love for what you do.
It’s very inspiring, I must remember to check in more often than not
Thankyou so very much
Shalom
Great words of wisdom at the end. Keeping it real brother.
Great idea and design as always - appreciate your comments at the end.....when your job is your hobby don't forget to do other things as well.
Looks pretty sick. Nice job
Your neighbour’s must of been watching that build and thinking what on earth is he doing now? Renovating a trailer, no the side’s are too high and they are leaning a bit , WoW he’s putting a roof on it now? Is it a shed, on wheels? I’ve no idea, it looks absolutely stunning though ❤
9:43 YES! You recited the movers' incantation! So now it will stay put while traveling. Good man!
Great video! New year - new project, what else can I ask as a fan)) I wait for the next episode!
Cool project. Looking forward to this.
That is so awesome Jesse. Your skills and abilities never cease to amaze me. A true master craftsman
looks great
so great to see you! happy new year and I hope you and your family are faboooOOOooooo ~
Wow, a barge..that will be epic...big project. Love the sauna...it would make a great tiny house too.
Awesome, love it. I've always thought you should build a couple of small sleeping cabins about the same size in the workshop and barge them out to the lake.
Amazing project
Glad to see you enjoying yourself again buddy we love ya!
Love this video, brother! Top notch craftsmanship as per usual. Keep building and working AND having fun!!!!
Was beginning to wonder where you went....Glad to see you're back.
Love that you are getting into guns. Hoping to get some videos on that front. You are the GOAT
So happy you’re back..love the gun
I’ve been planning my Mobile sauna for a few weeks now it’s like you read my mind haha I’m interested to see if he puts a grizzly stove in there that’s the one thing I’m not sure off is if it would get it hot enough 🧐, can’t wait to watch part 2 👍👍👍
I’m going with a harvia sauna wood stove.
thank you for your build of sauna very interesting
Glad you like it
Happy to see you back!
Cant wait to see part 2…now i really want to build one!!
Love it so much keep it up as always 💘
Love the sauna video, thanks!
Very very nice work as always!!! I Totally agree with your words ad the end !!! You only Live one time!!;👍👌💯
Love the new cordless rifle
beautiful work as always
Lost sight of you for a while, just got back to your channel. Great to see you doing stuff back in your shop etc. What happened to the Homestead build?
Hey Jesse, I've got a great name for that Sauna: "Hell On Wheels"! Great work! 👍👍💥💥
The Sauna looks so cool! Well Hot I guess! I'm wondering about the weight and also tongue weight for towing. Can't wait to see it finished.
Play away buddy! ❤ nice new plinker!
I think the most epicly Canadian thing to do now is pull up and have a steam in the Timmy's parking lot wearing speedos and a touk, smoking a fat one playing Nickelback. Of course, you're gonna have to tow it in there with a Ski-Doo. As an American living in Georgia, I'm in!
darnnit. just when i decided to steal sams cabine, he decides to buy a riffle.
Well.... good thing you have the excavator to haul that thing around with haha...
Nice work as always!
Hay very very nice👍
Jesse, I'm so glad to hear your final thoughts. We all need time to relax and "play" and not worry, it is an essential part of a happy life. Guns are one of my passions and they have helped my mental state by getting out and shooting with my friends or just myself sometimes. Video was awesome, excited for part 2!
Pretty cool
WB Jess'. Good to see you.
Not much snow ❄️ in your area. 👋🏼✨❄️😉. From Mirabel, Quebec
styrofoam and heat? I have built a few saunas.. and with the heat that is generated, the panels will shrink.. use fiber insulation and vapor barrier.. ventilation between the panel and the vapor barrier is also important.
good message brother.
you're gonna need a powerful atv to pull that sauna up those hills
Really dig it. Curious what your design process on a build like this is?
I'd pull the roof foam out....but you probably have already decked it with the ply by now. The vapor will go up and condense on top of the tongue and groove ceiling and be trapped a bit. I would worry about mold up there later.
It’s a dry sauna that you will be able to sprinkle water on the hot rocks. I will use it dry most of the time.
Insulation is unnecessary (no one insulates these small saunas here is the land of saunas Finland) but good job otherwise. Just use thicker panels and it's all Gucci. Drainage is easiest done with a slit in the floor
So they say “it’s all Gucci” in Finland?
Good! Nice 2024 to you.
Range therapy- essential for healthy life.
Dude, thats a sauna? I would live in that beauty 😅 Nice work as always Jesse 👌
Also cool gun, is it hard to get firearms in Canada (asking from Europe...)?
That's a really nice hole punch you got there lol. I love shooting long range myself
Sweet! I’m getting into long range shooting as well.
@@TheSamuraiCarpenter what's the MOA on that AR?
Great video! Thanks for sharing!
By coincidence, I’m starting on my mobile sauna right now down in Oregon. It’s on a 20’ trailer and includes a recycled giant oak wine barrel for a hot tub or cold plunge. Your video is great inspiration!
I’m wondering if you are familiar with (or inspired by) the work of Bill Copperwaithe? Your choice to go with walls that lean out is similar to his yurt designs. Cheers!
Good job, overkill with that insulation i think, sauna need to breath, otherwise mold can be an issue.
Still kicking!!
And the final video for this build comes out when?
Ya buddy!!!!
Glad to see your taking care of yourself. Do you hunt or just enjoy plinking? Take care, all the best.
I hunt as well with bow and rifle.
Inspiring!
🙏 👍
Great work, great project! Yellow cedar? Any tips on where I can pick up some 2x6? Seems to be out of stock everywhere in the island
Yeah buddy!!!!!
You might want to check the specs on your LED lights - they may not be too happy in the extremely hot environment.
Otherwise, it looks great.
What did you do for the floor and drainage ?
Get yourself a copy of Sauna Magic by Garett Conover
Do you have another video of it finished and how you heat it?
It’s coming soon
With all that sauna talk, I thought you whipped out a Sako M23.
so here in edmonton, i have seen these around for people who rent them, and am very curious how the insurance works with having a wood stove in a trailer & near someone’s house.
I love your tool belt chest rig.. need a present 🎁 for the hubby.. hook a sister up
That little impact driver will be passed down generation to generation
🤙👍
Will the sauna weigh more than your ATV?
HI THERE!
thatsa nice long picatinny. got any furniture for it yet?
HotTub !
Under the trees, on a rock....
(hold a rock.. known your channel with the stone - sink).
Did you skip insulating the roof for a specific reason?
I don't know why he insulated anything to begin with
Why!!! We just used a tent with some local rocks inside, heated up other local rocks in the camp fire. Moved the hot rocks into the tent and poured water over them as needed. Brought more hot rocks as needed. Only cost an old tent that we used many times.
Do you know if heating the styrofoam will make it put of any gasses? If the sauna is at e.g. 90 deg C, What temperature would the insulation reach?
Insulation was completely unnecessary for a good sauna
I’d say the big old belt sander is in need of some maintenance. Sounds horrible.
