Its famously called battle of sargadhi.
It was fought in 1897 between 21 Indian Sikh soldiers and 8 to 10 thousands Afghani pathan soldiers.
600 Afghani soldiers were killed and 3000 were severely wounded after which the invaders decided to back off.
All 21 Sikh soldiers were martyred in the war.

Just watched 'Kesari' movie trailer reaction across the world..Seems people are a bit surprised about the might of Indian Armed forces, specially the 'Sikh Regiment'..Yes, my brothers, the Shikhs are hard core warriors..they are respected across the country because of their valour and bravery..make no mistake, Guru Gobind ji Saheb is respected and loved by each and every sector of India..when we say " wahe guruji da Khalsa, wahe Guruji di fatah" ..we bloody mean business.

This movie is based on true story of bravery of Indian sikh. Havildar Ishar Singh, a soldier in the British Indian Army, leads 21 Sikh soldiers in a fight against 10,000 Pashtun invaders. However, what unfolds is the greatest last stand wars of all time. This is true story of 1897. Our 21 Sikh brother's fought 10000+ Afghanistan Pathan invaders.. they were told to leave the post but they didn't step back.. they didn't left any of our country's inch for anyone.. they fought them and killed 600+ Afghani Pathan Invaders and 180 were wounded. All 21 Sikhs fought till there last breathe and martyred. This only happens in Hindustan.. here there is just one thing which should never be underestimated by anyone around the world.. that's our land, our people, our Kesari/Bhagwa/Saffron colour of pride and the diversity of Hindustan which bring all religions of India together Hinduism Sikhism Buddhism Jainism Saffron is pride. None of the Hindustani kings ever captured anyone's land.. we were not greedy and it is not in our blood.. we just secure ourselves and Saffron flies with Pride.
Another pride battle was fought in 1962 with China on 16000 ft by 13 Kumaon Regiment of Indian Army in which 124 Veer Ahirs having there Single load rifles fought with 5000 Chinese troops who had advanced weapons of that era and they killed more than 1300 and Chinese ran away and 114 Veer Ahirs martyrdom and saved Ladakh from invaders. They were told to leave the post but they didn't left. In India Pride, Glory, Bravery is in blood. We never step back by seeing size of enemy.. coz we know well numbers doesn't matter against us.. bravery matters which no one have to fight off.. we are peaceful people but being surrounded by China Pakistan Afghanistan we had faced many battles in last century..
But still Saffron flies higher with pride and it will fly forever.

They went up against the Roman Centurion. It was a mix of contrasting styles of fighting - team based and highly disciplined warriors that had conventional basic weapons (Romans) vs high skilled warriors with crazier weapons, but lacking cohesion and polish (Rajput). Kind of like the end of career Utah Jazz against the filled with young talent Los Angeles Lakers of the late 90s. Anyway, I love your stuff, thank you RT TV for all your videos.
