gary Peterson (rip) was so fast around Odsal ,track record going on a few occassions ,gary doubled up with wolverhampton wolves then, he was recommended to race in the uk by Ivan mauger , Bradford had a cracking team then with the likes of Alan knapkin,robin adlington,dave baugh steve shofield ,sid sheldrick( girls loved him! ) alf wells ,what a gater he was, Those were the days i was 14 years old and my next door neighbour was the new face at bradford mick fairburn! thankyou so much for the upload you have make my day !!
My Uncle Derrick first took me to Odsal to watch Speedway in 1970 and I remember the team and the atmosphere as if it were yesterday. On that evening my lifetime love affair with Speedway started. If only Speedway could return to Odsal!

i used to run from my school up to odsal at dinner time to watch them practice for wednesday nights meeting brilliant days !!!!!
