2016 Audi Q7 3.0 TFSI (333hp) - DRIVE & SOUND (60FPS)

  • Today I can present to you the full Drive & Sound test of the all-new 2015/2016 Audi Q7 powered by the range-topping 3.0 TFSI delivering 333 hp and 440 Nm of torque through the well-known 8-speed Tiptronic. While I first thought that the gasoline V6 TFSI wouldn't be such a great choice for a huge SUV the performance and fuel economy proofs that I was wrong. Despite the lack of torque (on paper) compared to the 3.0 TDI (272 hp, 600 Nm) the supercharger gets the car moving very quickly and once you hit the higher revs there is an additional "spirit" of the engine that the Diesel doesn't have. Also the fuel consumption is very fair compared to power and weight, 10,8 liters of "Super" overall including all filming and high speed on Autobahn are very very good. Compared to the earlier 3.0 TFSIs they have really improved this engine! This particular car comes in daytona-grey pearlescent and offers the optional S-Line exterior pack, unfortunately its just on "small" winter tires. If you LIKE watching clips like this please don't hesitate to COMMENT & SUBSCRIBE and don't miss all the other videos of this Q7 coming out within the next days!

      Ja, das sind halt die Standard-Winterräder für den Q7, gerade beim S-Line wären 20 Zoll schon nett gewesen😁. Aber diese Sänfte und gleichzeitig so sportlich und agil, das ist schon höchste Automobilkunst!

    Which one would you buy after this review? Diesel or petrol one? I drove the diesel one (272hp) and the engine was pretty awesome :)

    • @Automann-TV
      @Automann-TV  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Depends on mileage and purpose you need the engine for. For long distances and pulling a trailer I would be the diesel, but for everything else this is a serious option with a lot more emotions!

    Just a little question, when auto lights are activated normally only DRL are turned on (at the front) and here tail lights and front lights are on .. Thanks

    • @Automann-TV
      @Automann-TV  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Lucas Renault I think its now possible that rear lights are also turned on in Auto mode, before this was prevented by EU law saying DRL should only power the front (for whatever reason;)) I think the rear is also on, not 100% sure.

    • @lucasrenault3172
      @lucasrenault3172 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Automann-TV Strange from Audi because on their cars since the year 2013 they established a program that illuminates only front lights. (Until 2012 BMW BMW therefore had this program that lit the front and rear). So why they would decide to turn on the front and rear on this new 2016 Q7 ...? I don't know..
      You're going to think I'm crazy about details 😉
      No I'm just obsessed by Audi 😌
      Personally german cars are The best ..
      Thanks!

    Hi guys. Need some help in deciding what suv to buy for my family in the following months. So far i looked at 4 candidates, Mercedes GLE 350 or 400 and the Volvo XC90. Regarding the MB GLE, well i really hate the dash, can't stand it, as for the Volvo it lacks power, and tbh i want a bigger engin.
    Therefore the remaining candidates are Audi Q7 3.0 TFSI and a Bmw X5m50D.
    However i could not find a direct comparation of the 2, also it looks to me that Audi is so in love of the freaking TDI, even now after the #noxcheating that they just refuse to send the 3.0 TFSI to dealers for testing.
    Given the above, and that you guys drove both cars, would like to ask how the cars compare regarding the body roll, which of the car is more nimble. I will drove mostly on twisted roads, therefore i don't want to have the kids throw up whenever i will press the gas :).

      @Automann-TV  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Cesar Imperatore Hi, thanks for those detailed comments and questions. Of course its a hard choice and you've already picked the best of what is available in this class today. I think you have to compare between two sizes of cars here as well. The GLE and the X5 are smaller in their dimension to an XC90 and also to a Q7. Especially the Q7 feels like a huge car, even compared to a VW Touareg. Still the Q7 in my eyes has the best ride, very comfortable but still sporty and nimble if you want it. If you drive twisty roads mostly I would probably say that the X5 fells most settled and compact compared to the others but that als depends on which suspensions or wheels you are choosing. Overall I don't know if I can really recommend one....if you say size isn't a problem than I would go for the Q7, if you say it needs to be compact than I would choose X5 or GLE....the XC90 is the best looking and has sporty handling, but it lacks power as you said.

    Wie kam der Benziner mit dem geringeren Drehmoment im Vergleich zum Diesel mit dem hohen Fahrzeuggewicht zurecht???

    • @Automann-TV
      @Automann-TV  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Martin Bauer Erstaunlich gut und viel besser als man erwarten würde! Grundsätzlich ist der Q7 ja schon mal nicht so schwer, zumindest nicht für diese Fahrzeuggröße.
      Hinzu kommt, dass der V6T ja einen Kompressor hat und damit das Drehmoment (welches mit 440 Nm ja auch schon gut ist) quasi "sofort" und ohne Turboloch liefert. Das macht im Alltag ein sehr agiles Auto ohne dabei wirklich hoch drehen zu müssen. Des Weiteren fand ich den 3.0 TFSI auch sehr sparsam, zumindest gemessen an meinem Fahrstil. Großes Auto, hauptsächlich Autobahn, immer so 160 km/h auch durch die Berge und am Ende hatte ich ca. 10.5 Liter Super als Gesamtverbraucht. Klar ist der Diesel sparsamer aber wenn man nicht mehr als 20.000 km im Jahr fährt dann würde ich diesen Motor evtl. sogar bevorzugen.

    • @martinbauer800
      @martinbauer800 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Automann-TV sehr interessant, danke für die ausgiebige Antwort. Die technischen Daten lassen nämlich eher Zweifel dahingehend aufkommen, dass die 440 Nm, die erst bei 2900 Umdrehungen an der Kurbelwelle anliegen, möglichweise zu gering sind, um auf der "Drehmomentwelle" zu "surfen"...

    wie findest du eig. das außendesign? Viele finden ja besonders die Front etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig :)

    • @Automann-TV
      @Automann-TV  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Auch ich muss gestehen, dass ich mich zunächst an das Design gewöhnen musste, aber in natura sieht das Fahrzeug deutlich gefälliger aus als auf Fotos. Die Front wirkt sehr bullig und wenn dieser Wagen etwas größere Räder hätte wäre es insgesamt auch recht sportlich vom Design. In weiß kommt er meiner Meinung nach am besten rüber!
