I forgot to mention. I got a hole-in-one the very first time I ever played golf, on a par 3 hole. I was smiling from ear to ear for the rest of the day. 😁
Awesome hole in one! God blesses us even on the golf course. I would go with the knee wall. Just bought a house and they did that, and they finished the top of the wall with a routered edge wooden board, painted white with lots of poly. Looks great, holding up great, very cost effective. Zack is awesome! Warden too! Ya'll are awesome. Have fun with your project. Praise the Lord for his Many blessings!

Your renovations are going to be amazing. If you are going for your forever home, I reckon you should take the kitchen wall out completely and push the kitchen onto the outside wall with a huge island, a bit like Alyssa and John’s. It would open the whole space up. As usual though it comes down to budget. Good luck.

Love the house. Don't ever give up cabinets. Open floor plans are not always the best and smaller rooms are becoming popular again. It is nice sometimes to have kitchen seperate from living area to have a smaller conversation. The house is so nice already. It is definitely not a fixer upper. So much bigger than your current house. I would definitely change the wall colors tho. I'd rather keep kitchen as is...so you don't lose cabinets and spend money on furniture you gonna need. Why not live in it for now?

I have always loved open concept. Then moved to a wooden a frame where dining and kitchen are separate from living area ( dining and kitchen in a frame and living room is a 20x30 wing off dining room) I actually love being able to close the door and work on noisy things while people are visiting in living room and yet I just peek in through door now and then to keep an eye on things in living room. And if kids are Uber loud, dad's to visit at dining table and all kids in living room with door open to keep noise down but eye on kids ( as I never leave them alone). We have couch and reclining at side of big dining room so lots of seating for visitors too so I love it

Idea for the kitchen: take out the wall like Evan said and leave a pony wall. Build a bar out of wood (whatever style you like) and have stools on the other side. It could be extra seating for family events or a buffet…
Add some pendant lights in your style of choice. It would look great!

Exciting! Maybe take that wall out and replace it with an island. Butcher block top. Keep the sink and dishwasher there so you don't have to move the plumbing.

@@katieallen6176 Yes, it was awhile ago, that's why it said "Future Evan" at the beginning when he was saying there might be a couple videos a week. This was before Lawson's wedding and therefore before Carlin started having her health issues.

Id appreciate prayers from anyone! Me my husband and two boys are renting two bedrooms with my parents and we dream of the day we can move out and atleast have a rental. We love living with my parents but we need our own space. All we want is for God to open doors for us to be able to move out and have a space of our own. I can’t wait to be in the stage in life that Evan and Carlin are in renovating their home.
