They were defeated. They didn't abandon ship. They didn't signal surrender. They knew not to expect mercy from us. We kept firing until our gun barrels deformed under the heat. We fired until the last projectile had left our ammo holds. She... didn't say anything. I think in this moment, she envied us.
"No longer Fleet Command, Karan Sjet survived extraction from the Mothership’s core. She insisted that she would be the last person to disembark and set foot on the Homeworld." This song can have so many emotions attached to it. I enjoy listening to it and remembering the ending cinematic... when Karen stepped off the ship and the roaring, cheering masses greeted her. Undulated joy.
Kharak is being consumed by a firestorm...the scaffold has been destroyed...all orbital facilities destroyed...significant debris ring in low Kharak orbit...Receiving no communications from anywhere in the system......not even beacons.
this is the ingame version, its a very sped up version of agnus dei, if you seach for that on TH-cam you will hear the normal version which is more bassey
@@royaldarkness8453 Hi. Compare to this: th-cam.com/video/XyyL_TICbrU/w-d-xo.html . Compressed, as in used too much compression, by applying the compressor effect. Compressor cuts off loudness above say 0dB, and makes everything that was quiet become loud now. End result? The sound becomes strong, indeed, but you also lose "air". Besides, ears scream "enough" after a while :D Also, this is Barber's Adagio, this is not some stupid pop loudness-war song... Cheers! :D
This song is a hidden gem of the world.
Real
"Cryo tray loaded. 500,000 people secured." "There's nothing left for us here...Let's go."
I have to replay that level until I get all 600,000 in.
According to the lore, none of those people were children...They were all on Karak :(
aw f
@@tprice1291 Don't do this. Please. Not while _this_ is playing.
Netflix should consider making a drama series based on Homeworld 1 🎉🎉

Everytime I listen to this masterpiece, I can’t help but think of all the things I’m going to miss on after I die.
Beautiful
More like Adagio for Sings.
basicaly, it's a capella Adagio for strings (instead of strings human voices)
It's actual name is Agnus Dei.
Kharak is burning and all you can do is make JOKES!?
Nothing remains.
Wow, I will always cheer for you in Korea I'm looking forward to a great video. Have a nice day.
This is like part 2 of the music. Not the original but about just as good.

Agreed. It has been "brick walled", and it shows. The piece has lost a huge amount of the intensity of emotion that gives the original so much power.
