- Come with me on a tour of Northern Italy as Melissa and I try out some classic authentic Italian dishes. Don’t forget to start out with a top notch Anti-Pasta and Calamari appetizer!! Family operated and owned. Support local!!
Love this review! Absolutely the best one. I taught Trey, going to have to go in and say hello.
He’s a top chef!
Nice seeing the two of you together.
I am an Ohio native & now live in Texas & they don't know nothing about Italian cream cake here.
It’s wonderful!
Nope won't go there again but I will continue watching your reviews! Just because I don't agree with you on some places doesn't mean I don't enjoy watching your videos
@@stephenpatrick5829 thank you. What did you order that you didn’t like?
Wow...we never get to see Melissa! She made the video much better. Barry, you done got above your raisin'!
I know!! I definitely “Out kicked my coverage”.
For a minute there I didn’t think Melissa was going to get to eat. 😂😂
😂😂😂excalty
Great video, I hope Melissa wasn't too annoyed having to hold the camera. I hope y'all enjoy a nice date night by yourselves next time.
It was great!
Great video Barry you are so ready for the Food Network or Travel Channel keep it up you hit this way out of the park over the fence😊
Thank you so much!!
Thanks for taking us all along. Great video. The food looked delicious, especially that cake!!! Melissa is a beauty. Take care.
Thank you so much!
In this part of the video I am a Chef by trade and you really can't screw up fried calamari but after I do a GOOGLE SEARCH for there menu some places actually charge for bread or rolls and butter and some places actually charge 9.00 for a side of FRENCH FRIES which to me is a pure ripoff
Melissa is such a good sport ❤️
Lol!
Great review!
Thank you!
She’s your turtle dove and you’re her double turtle bite! Great video!
Thank you!
So far it all looks sooo good!! We will have to try this place!!😋

@@user-ut8ls7qp1j awesome! Thank you!
Melissa nice looking lady, you got there😊❤
Wow, thanks!
You guys look , good together ❤😂
Thank you!
Very nice resturant ..took my wife there our last wedding anniversary..white table cloth joint.. I had some kind of eggplant lasagne! Pretty good and pretty pricey!
Yeah, our meal was $150 but had two rounds each of wine and two appetizers.
Hi Barry, I enjoyed this one alot. Especially when your wife said "there you go dropping everything". I did think about mentioning that in the past, but trying to be nice. The charcutarie board was killer. Karla in Cali.
Barry needs a feedbag 🤣
I was raised in a barn.
Fabulous date night.. if I get a date I will suggest to go there…looks delicious…
The chef comes out to the table and checks on you. Great food and atmosphere.
Now that looks like some dang good food.
Oh as!!it
Our favorite Italian place in town.
Agreed.
Great video 📹
Thank you!
Place looks really good for a date night me and the wife will give it a try. Did they have meaty lasagna or one that has a lot of meat sauce on it. Great review as always.
It’s top notch!
Progress is all I can see on this channel
Thank you!
Your wife is lovely love your show I recommend Serinos in German town try the fruit desert . Vodka sauce best in town. They have a cheese tray to die for
Thank you! I’ll check it out.
Dig the vintage Tommy Bahama shirt. Real Soprano vibe.
You should try Difabios on Frankfort Ave., it’s great Italian, small and reasonable!
It’s on my list
Ok, gotta know what you've gotten at DiFabios? Husband and I have been about 4 times ( not recently) and very mediocre to bad every time. My filet was so bad, it tasted rotten. Other times, food was just meh. Like a notch above Olive Garden.
@@mb8728 I haven’t been yet.
@@goodallscountrykitchen lol, was asking the guy who told you to try it.🤣🤣🤣
@@mb8728 sorry😂
You ever eat at Trattoria Matteo in Middletown before it closed. If not, sad for you.
Yes.
Love the picture from your first romantic date. Once a pimp, always a pimp.
And you know this!!!
😂😂😂😂lol
Are You are gangster Barry?
Awesome video
@@jyrbr9292 I was in my early days another life ago.
Barry, I would like to ask you a question as follows; in all of your travels have you ever come across a store that sell’s pickled pigs feet?? If so please share.
Kroger. What the Years End video with Ryan.
You're definitely not cut out for anywhere with cloth napkins.
😂😂😂
Nope!
I thought you were going to eat all of Melissa's food 😂
I did after we got home
Barry what brand of pickled pigs feet do you eat??
Any brand.
You should have your turtle dove in more videos.
She doesn’t really like being on them. She’s shy.
Lol Barry, you behave yourself 😂
🤣👍👍
Ok, so much ground to cover here.🤦♀️ Dan and I went there years ago. Honestly, not impressed. I wouldn't call Silvios " fine dining" , but more upscale. That being said, I was coerced by the owner to try something that had his Nana's meatball in it. I did. It was the most flavorless thing I'd ever had.😂😂 The owner while being boisterously kind ( think he was sampling the beverage menu, if you get my drift) It wasn't awful, just not special. Yes, this was years ago. Next thing, you got married Dec 1, 2007? HA Dec. 1 is my birthday! Go figure. When Melissa called you " Bear", I laughed, because when you post a new video, I also tell Dan, " Bear, Bear has a new video." How weird is that?? Melissa, as usual, looks more like a high school student than teacher. 😂
Now, I know you're not all into fine dining, etc, but if you really want great Italian food, go to Porcini's on Frankfort. Everywhere else in the city pales in comparison. Not cheap, but beautiful, with stellar service, and ambiance. Jason, the manager is the absolute best. Chef Plymale, is the absolute best chef in town. No arguing. However, really nice review. I'm surprised the owner didn't at least make an appearance. Bit disappointing. Thank Melissa for allowing us to tag along. ❤ Dan and Michele.
She feels so embarrassed seeing herself on the video. Was hiding in the next room listening to it. It doesn’t take much for me to consider a place to be upscale or fine dining. I’m low class, trash.
@@goodallscountrykitchen 🤣🤣🤣🤣 You are no such thing... it's just your schtick on here. Let Melissa go out with my fat old ass in tow. She'll look like a playboy bunny🐇🐰. I think you know how to pull out all the stops. You're just playing dumb... I know your type😎.
@@mb8728 lmao!!!
Porcini is very good. I had some people fly from NYC and Florida on business to meet with me and that is the restaurant I chose for us to conduct business. Everyone was very pleased. I have also been to Silvio's. Did the meatball have an entire clove of garlic in it? Lol. The owner is very nice and the food is good. I really like Porcini and also have had very good meals at Volare. Was told to try Ciao and ROC, but honestly doing a lot of cooking at home these days. Just made my own pasta sauce, pizza sauce and homemade pasta the other day. Froze enough to make a years worth of meals. Unfortunately, nothing really compares to Italy as we can't get the same ingredients or we can (like canned san marzano tomatoes) but not fresh or not certified.
I really think that these reviews are wonderful because you highlight a lot of spots that I otherwise would not be aware of from just messing around with google or yelp.
@@jiggyjoeandrufusthedoggy857 thank you for the positive input. It was very intuitive . I have been to Porcini’s.
Pickled pigs feet. Love em
I think I’ll be doing a video on that!
Call it what you may but it’s still squid 🦑
🤑
What’s with the pinky😂
That means “Fancy”.
As soon as you said the wine was a bit sweet that was a turn off. Sweet wine ok with desserts but not red sauces.
I’m an ignorant rookie. We asked for it sweet.
Sweeet
Awes! Thank you!
Supposed to use a spoon and a fork to twirl the pasta
Not when you’ve been doing it long enough. Don’t need the spoon.
Y’all cute
Awe, thank you!
