Hi, I just can't believe that our stories are a like.. actually I dileated easily 2-3 sm, without much pain..I just chose the wrong doctor.. before birth I didn't think that doctor is that much important..i thought I am the one giving birth, but now I changed my mindset. The doctor, midwife, hospital, doula are so important.. in the labor, because of hormones and fear we can easily Believe others and do what others say to do. If others are negative, probably labor will be ended in c section..I think my c section was unnecessary..vagina's tightness is not a reason for c section or irregular contractions.I really want to have a successful vbac, this time I will trust my body more..
Awe I am so happy you found my video - it helped me so much hearing from others with a similar journey. I agree with everything you are saying. Big hug and prayers to you mama. Thank you so much for watching.
Did you have an epidural with either of your kids? I am 6 weeks pregnant now and had a c-section with my daughter but I want to go for a VBAC this time. My reason for a c section was failure to progress. I had pushed for 4 hours and she wasn’t descending down.
Sorry for my delay. Yes I had an epidural with both of my girls. The reason for my c section with my first born was also a failure to progress and I did not dilate passed 6cm. I didn't even get to pushing with my first. Sounds like you would be a strong candidate for VBAC. With my VBAC I got an epidural very late into the process... I was almost 8cm and my contractions were regular. As a VBAC my provider did not allow any induction drugs. Congratulations!! You can do it.
dreamingofthefarm yes I’m hoping I am a good candidate! My epidural was given to me at 9CM they didn’t bother to check me before but after they did and she was like oh wow you’re at a 9. I was pretty upset as if I had known that then I wouldn’t have gotten the epidural. I didn’t want it in the first place but I was having the most severe back labor and my contractions were on top of eachother. I do believe the epidural is what stalled my labor and in turn I had a c-section. I got induced with misoprostol insertion and everything was perfect, after the epidural everything went downhill. I stopped having contractions a couple hours after and they had to administer pitocin to kickstart my labor again. I also had a midwife with my first daughter. I’m really going to search for a better provider who will listen to me as I know what to expect this time and can advocate for myself.
My first baby’s heart rate droped a few times and I wouldn’t progress after 9 1/2 and she was super low in going to be 16 months pp and I’m not doing epidural this time considering first baby was fine untill after epidural! But I’m super excited to try Vbac!
Hey Thank you so much for this video. I had a c section too due to failure to progress, had the epidural too early and I couldn’t move(pandemic on top of it). I’m doing Everything I can to have a successful vbac but I’m almost due for a doula or midwife. Our provider is fine with trying the VBAC but I was wondering how can I do about it at this point without a doula or midwife? I’m already 35 weeks
Thank you so much for watching and commenting mama - you can do it!! Have you been listening to any podcasts? Just trust your gut and its not too late to try and find a doula... if you are in NJ I could make some suggestions.. peanut ball, push the epidural off as long as you can and labor at home as long as possible. I highly reccomend miles circut and I am not sure if you watched my 2vbac birth story but EVENING PRIMROSE OIL worked wonders for me as well. Praying for you :)
@@dreamingofthefarm3490 Thank you so much for replying 🥰 I’m doing the birth ball, pelvic exercises, raspberry leaf tea, positive VBAC stories daily and yours is even saved on my playlist, I do breathing practices sometimes and hypnobirthing. I got the dates but I’m not sure when to continue taking it and when to start the evening pimrose. If you don’t mind me asking how much weight you remember gaining? Some elderly are negative about it and think I’m on diet( unfortunately we spoke about it too soon to others without realizing they can be not supportive). Our provider though said I’m doing great with the way I’m gaining weight and staying active
Hi , watching your video for the second time,i am now 17 weeks pregnant had my first born via c section on 19th August 2021,second baby's due at June 14th 2023,my doctor said me there's no scope for a vbac is she right please guide me,i want to give it a try,but everyone around me are discouraging me... Eagerly awaiting your reply 🙃
I would think with your pregnancies being almost two years apart you would have hope - have you considered a second opinion??? You will be in my prayers mama. Stay strong and don't loose hope.
I need your help I had my first baby may 14 2019 hrs one year ...im actually 3 months pregnant and was told I need a c section because I had to have an emergency c section due to my son getting the cord wrapped around his neck at 9 in a half dilated ..please help me I was told I would need another c section
Hi Ana! Do you have Facebook? Please join the group called ICAN - International Cesarean Awareness Network. You do NOT need to have a c section. Your providers are just not VBAC supportive at ALL. Please look for alternative providers and you CAN achieve the birth you want. Also, please check out evidencebasedbirth.com ! You will love all the resources there to help you out with the birth you deserve and want! Good luck.
@@spffc15 Thank you very much for answering her. I absolutely love ICAN and so grateful for them. I went to a few meetings on my journey to my VBAC. Good luck Ana.

Check and see if your hospital has a walking epidural. It is an option for pain reliever but you won’t be stuck in bed, unable to move.
