@godu1111 agreed, internet nerds are terrible for TV i slightly disagree with you that internet will teach you to play effective poker more then any live cash game. it does teach you the mechanics because of the large volume of hands... but there are more live elements that change the game than people think. One thing is patience... I play primarily live limit hold em, and whenever a young college kid comes to the table he will play solid for an hour or two, then get visibly impatient...
@@shroey20 wrong its opposite. Run simulations on pots in PLO cash vs NLH cash. There is more multi way pots in PLO and more betting and raising on every street. NLH is more played preflop to isolate in position to take control of pots. Pots are often won preflop in NLH or on the flop

People talk about the old school like Doyle Brunson, Daniel Negreanu and Sammy Farhu, not being able to compete with the new generation of poker players, but the fact is that all these young players are shit! None of the old school go broke, but the internet players are going bust constantly!
John Smith the difference is all those guys have income outside of poker: investments in real estate, stocks etc, sponsorship deals and also access to multi million dollar loans. Everyone of them has had years where they would've gone poker busto without other financial success keeping them afloat.
People who made a lot of money playing internet poker are like ET's. I'll believe they exist when I see their tax returns. Besides internet poker has no social value. For instance I'm sure if I were to take out a second on my house and play Pot Limit Omaha with Sammy and donate my money to him at least that would have entertainment value. Playing the same game with him over the internet would have no social value. In other words it wouldn't be any fun.

He stands 0 chance in the long run vs the strong younger players, especially in PLO, considering he thinks a draw can only be 2:1 dog, when it can be 3:1 favorite. Player who went broke is probably johnny lodden, dont think townsend ever went quite broke.
