This week I ran with Pain Train, however, there was a slight route change as the State of Origin had some road closures set up for Wednesday night's game. We decided to run the SOP Tennis Court loop, previously used by the Lidcombe Auburn Cycling Club as a crit track many years ago. I have run this route a few times previously, it's quick and constant (thankfully no traffic lights). I'd also recommend this loop if you want to work on cornering at speed and practice for a Criterium race, the fact that it's short will allow you to improve faster through more repetitions when compared to a typical route.
Supposedly to measure your zones you should use heart rate, not power stats, so apparently this is another Z2 session for myself with an average HR of around 135.
