this has notthing to do with me, but it is so personal. I took in my first Devon (black in color)back in April of 03' He was sick from day one, I took him often to the Dr. and sadly he passed away (FIP?) likely, I spent 2,600 in bills plus I paid 600 for him, I should have been suspicious (he was the only one available, ) I had waited years to get my guy, He did come with a companion from a diffrent breeder for an extra 100, he needed a home, When we lost my first little black Devon, I eventually wentsearching for someone new to join our family, but none available, found one, but didn't work out. long story... then I found a sweet kitten who was born with enlarged heart (White in color) he also had a bad heart murmur, I brought him home, because nobody wanted him, and if he passed way I knew he was not well, He flourished for a few years with us, til his heart gave out. We miss both our black and white Devon's, and this video makes me think they are together at Rainbow Bridge enjoying their time, doing what ever they like, best part of the story is, the original companion to my first adoption of black kitty, is about to turn 16 next month! We have spent almost 15 years together, and i know he is one of the sweetest souls I have ever met We also have a rescue who was 1 when we got him, (mix black and white, and you get grey, Yup he is grey) I am a poet, I see the connections everywhere. He first came and feared everyone, and everything, he wouldn't let anyone touch him litterally, he also wanted to be the alpha, but my older guy said Nope! not going to happen, (still today the 8 year old is not the alpha) our grey baby decided to trust us around the first 1 year mark, he is now part of the family, he will be 8 in May! Happy endings. I am grateful for every moment with my 16 year old fur baby, and I feel blessed to have known my black and white kittens!
My two Devons have made so many cat haters melt. I haven't found a better cat breed, and I'm pretty sure that's because there is no better breed of cat.

These Devon cats are nice and are part sheep mixed in breeding a ways back I think.
