My Dad introduced me to Flash and the pan when I was a kid! Just turned 50, still a fan! Dad and I were listening to them earlier this morning! Tks,,Dad..love u❤
Amazing that this Australian group started as The Easybeats -- and hit in the US with the great "Friday On My Mind." George Young (his brother Malcolm was in AC/DC & they both died 3 weeks apart) was from Scotland. Henry Vanda from the Netherlands -- but they migrated to Australia where the group was formed.
Bought the album, and just listened to it again for the first time in over 30 years. I had no idea George Young is one of THE Young brothers. As in older bro of Angus and Malcolm.
They were the songwriting core of The Easybeats@@christopherolsen1123 And apparently George taught *that* rhythm guitar style to Malcolm... You can hear it on a few F&TP songs such as Hard Livin', which isn't miles from an AC/DC song
Harry & George stopped their project after 1992's "Burning Up the Night" album (the 6th) and I think their production work also petered out in that era. George returned to produce another album for AC/DC (Stiff Upper Lip) and died in 2017. Harry played at an Easybeats tribute concert a few years ago but I think he's retired now. On the last photos I've seen of him he was in a wheelchair 😥

Overrated song
My first impression was - what the heck is this? Sounds like Neue Deutsche Welle, but these guys are from Down Under! Respect!
George essentially singing about his experience with the Easybeats.
