@@palo569 The draw weight had nothing to do with him winning the match. If that was the case he would be the number one archer in the world. He draws more weight than Kim Woojin and Brady Ellison.
@jamesasmith2494 Indeed, higher draw weight has a lot to do when it comes down to minimizing expansion/release errors... In his particular case, he has the upper hand onto not allowing the bowstring to effect the straightness of the arrow flight. The world's #1 spot has much to do with both participation and performance rather than just performance.
Mauro always has an uncommonly heavy setup (maybe he lowered the poundage these days but still). That's why he's been wobbly. I remember he explained in a interview that he uses heavier setup to counteract some defects in his shooting process.
I mean they have even more pressure on them than most archers (korea) and hes only 19, its a lot to push through and final shots that win you the match arent really something you can practice.... just comes with experience. Sadly the more you mess up those things though the harder it is to have confidence in your shot in that situation. Even then we don't know what happened on that shot.
@@Moogle The last shot was 100% him loosing focus.. Just look at his previous shots, all excellent.. He knew all he need was a 9 to win.. Easily capable of it. going on every one of his previous shots during that event.. Its becoming a real crutch to his excellent shooting, Hopefully he finds a way out of it and learns to stay focused when it really matters.. I would say its not far off having a target panic issue, but with him it only happens when he knows its do or die time..
Focus lost.... All he has to do in such situations is to focus in the shot process and address each step in his mind as he executes the shot.... It's easier said than done, but it gets you out from the vast majority of situations like this one.
I can't believe that last shot of KJD.
