@@abnormallynormal8823 Sponsorship money is my guess. But I've heard that the new Hoyts are nice to shoot so he might very well be preferring it no matter what.
50 meters is a long way. much respect. i don't see why plungers. drop away shelf. balance weights, adjustable limbs are called bare bows. that's technology over skill isn't it? good shooting. thank yew
With all the extra accessories on their bows why is this considered "barebow"???? Honest question if anyone knows please. I personally would rather watch them shoot 20-50yards with a Black Widow 60" KBX or PCH-C recurve or a 68" Toelke Whip 10x.
What do you mean extra accessories? Barebow has only riser and tiny weights/dampeners. Archer might have a tab and bracer, both of which are just protection. Main idea is that barebow doesn't have sights.
@@yajurka the weight stabilizers and plunger adjustment shelfs is what i ment. I'd be more impressed with a toelke or a black widow off the shelf. Seems redundant to call it barebow and then shoot off a plunger. I will admit i am new to the sport though so im probably ignorant to the subject, but, it sure doesnt seem bare compared to my hunting bow.
@@takuroshinji2445 BareBow to me is a bare hunting bow, no weights blah blah blah or anything added, bare to me is like off the shelf, riser, limbs, no special additions to the arrow shelf, but having vibration dampers on the string, or pads added on to the limbs for string slap. A bare woman is totally nude no extras added, comprende !
Is it also known what the poundage of both mens bows are ? What a display. If it wasn't raining outside, i'd put my target up and shoot a bit. Well, on a laymans level. I can hit a 50x50 cm target from 30 meters but... well, theres some room for improvement. :D
@@NotoriousEgg89 If you did not get your answer yet, usually 60 pounds is the limit, but it doesn't seem that many people shoot over 45, and almost nobody goes over 50.
STOP calling it a barebow…!!! There are weights for the balance ... there are arrow rests... and there is hand shaped grip's ... come on !!! Barebow me ass... A true Barebow is an English warbow...
Congrats Matt! That was some good shooting!
At 7:49 , is that someone burping!? Lol.
bruh HAHAHAAH seems like it !
Amazing shooting!
Some great examples of Barebow!
That distance is just too much for me. He did a great job for sure on that last shot!
Mantap...
4th round Demmer 10+9+8=27, scoring was 26, am I wrong? 🤔
no.. I agree !
11:25
10+9+8 = 26???? Omg
They corrected lol
It seems the later into the match it got, the better and more consistent their releases were!
Matty Yacca taking it.. great match
I see JD III has switched from Gillo to Hoyt...interesting move. I think I'll stay with my Gillo.
It’s all preference in the end. Slightly different geometry will feel different for each archer

good match, the commentators acted so snooty about how John dressed, what schmucks.

Around 40...depends. it varies between 34 and slightly above 40 for barebow men.
