I tried toner for the first time as a teenager and it burned and left my skin feeling taught and dry. Now I’m in my 30s and have been struggling with dilated sometimes clogged pores. I decided to give toner a try again. There are soooo many on the market and sometimes very expensive. I don’t mind spending the money if it actually works but I hate buying a full-size of some thing that doesn’t work I know you’re stuck with it. Thank you for making this video explaining what all these acronyms are and what their intended purposes are.

im using simple hydrating toner and i have oily skin, this toner does it work perfectly
I have tried numerous Cosrx products over the years but never seem to get on with them - proving once again that everyone is different. However I love toners. I have oily/combination skin and they are great for hydrating without feeling overloaded. I especially love Im From Rice Toner and twice a week use Wishtrend Mandelic Acid Toner but only on my nose and chin where I tend to get clogged (not helped by wearing masks).

Thank you, Doctor! ✨ After watching this new video I wanna try CosRX AHA BHA Vitamin C Toner! :) At this point I’m using Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner - it’s great for my sensitive skin (you also recommended it in one of your videos). I ordered SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Asiatica Toner, but haven’t tried it yet. :)
What a good video about toners. I will try to purchase the simple toner because i have a sensitive skin.
I have a dry skin and I loved using Laneige cream skin refiner toner. It hydrated my skin so good ☺
I use Cosrx AHA/BHA clarifying toner. Might try using the AHA/BHA + vit C.

In my 20's and 30's I usually used anything with alcohol to help with my breakouts and Oily T zone. Now that I'm 41 I noticed that my skin easily dries out. So I started using Pixie toner. So far so good. I've always used Toners. My mother showed me that Toner helps hydrate the skin. She's 62 but has beautiful skin.
Do you have to use pixi glycolic acid?

9wishes Rice 72% White Lucent refining toner after cleansing (COSRX). I have a dry skin. Now using retinol 0,2% and moisturizing MLE cream.

I used the AHA/BHA/VC toner that you recommended. I loved it, but I got a little nervous using a toner that had AHA and BHA on a daily basis. I've also tried the Propolis toner. I know that a lot of people love that one, but for me it was a little greasy/sticky on the skin. Right now I'm using the Isntree HA toner Plus, and I love it. I also love the Rovectin "lotion". It's amazing! (I have combo/dry skin).

@@vaniajesslyn177 I don't use that toner anymore, but when I don't use anything with exfoliating acids more than 2x per week. May work for others, but my skin barrier doesn't need that much exfoliation.
0.1 acid isnt even close enough to do exfoliation

I live in the UK and use the REN Ready steady glow daily AHA tonic but only use it 1-2 x per week
I am curious. Do you just apply and leave toner on, or do you need to rinse it off before moisturizing? I've been using the CosRX toner after cleansing with the CosRX Low PH morning cleanser and following it up with the Olay 24 Retinol serum. I'm also not sure if you would recommend a moisturizer in addition to the serum? I chose serum as a mild introduction to retinol, which I have never used before, and also because of your explanation of retinol degrading over time with the cream moisturizer in the glass pot. I'm using two toners. The first one is Secret Key Hyaluron Aqua Soft Toner, and the second one is Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Essence Water. So beautiful and less oily skin after them. But for winter I prefer Real Barrier Extreme Essence Toner. I have combi skin with oily t-zone
I'm on second bottle with COSRX AHA BHA Vitamin C. It smoothened my skin by clearing all whiteheads & blackheads. I use it daily, I feel the result are the same with Somebymi AHA BHA PHA & Niacinamide toner which I use before. Both moisturise and keep acne away too. My skin is oily and acne prone. Next I would love to try the COSRX Propolis, hopefully suit my skin. Thanks Dr. Inky for reviewing this.

I’m currently using PHA toner from Inkey list. I think it helps to unclog my pores & gently exfoliate my skin. I’m just looking for a hydrating toner to alternate with my current one. Thank you for always providing educational videos on skincare

I am using Dickinson's Original Pure Witch Hazel. Does that pretty much only tighten your pores up? I have eyes bags that I'm trying to get rid of, but I was told that plastic surgery is pretty much the only option, and I am not going to do that.

I'm currently using COSRX Centella Alcohol-Free Toner. For the longest time I stopped using toners as they just kinda burned my skin, but this adds hydration to my skin, which can be sensitive, and it doesn't have any ingredients that would cause conflicts with other product ingredients, so I can use it twice a daily. If I want to exfoliate I can use a BHA or PHA on top if I want to. I wanted to try I'm From Rice Toner but was worried the fermented ingredients would cause issues with my rosacea or my skin would gain sensitivities if I used it often, so I may just stick with trying an essence with something similar instead.
They said Rice Toners are overrated. Maybe try Azelaic acid since it is good for Rosacea

i have been using Clinique Toner for many years too. starting with no4 during my teens due to my oily, acne proned skin. to no3 during my late 20s to mid 30s. now i a am using no2 in my early 40s.

For serious atrophic scars can undergo treatments like chemical peels, fillers or skin needling.
From the 5 you mentioned. I'm in South Africa the only one I am aware of from these toners is Cetaphil. Cetaphil one you mentioned is it for oily / combination? You mentioned dry/ sensitive. .
We also have other many brands this side. Neutrogena Eucerine, Cerave, LaRoche Posay and other brands to. Is Cetaphil the best to use on your skin from these brands.
All of these brands is good. You can choose them based on your skin concerns

Japanese label toner as lotion. So it's a toner.
