Is it just me or is vitu-ghazi super broken even by itself? A 9/9 with haste for 5 mana?
Eric Lapointe yeah it’s pretty busted. Only downside is that it’s a land but you should be able to win after having a 9/9 on turn 5
@@ericlapointe597 it's definitely very good but it has its downsides. For one it turns one of your lands into the creature, meaning you'll really need 6 Mana to have it come out untapped. Also because it's technically 0cmc creature it's vulnerable to shenanigans like tyrant's scorn or entrancing Melody like the last match in the video.
Honestly if you're going big green stompy vitu-ghazi isn't even the strongest card, you have ghalta which can be a 12/12 trample for only 2 Mana.

Decks like these are why I subscribed back during Magic: Duels. Something that isn’t super focused on grinding out mythic but isn’t janky either. Please keep them coming!

5-1. The deck actually has some strength. But I had to make my sideboard. Since the deck is easy to counter I had to make a different gameplan in the sideboard. But some decks just cant beat it. And I crushed

Been interested in something of this nature for a while, great to see your take on it (and probably more successful). I was going for more Adapt/Simic stuff over the Explore package, which is probably why they never worked.

Thanks for making this deck! I thought of the Vitu Climb combo when it was spoiled, but never spent the wildcards because I wasn't sure it would be good enough. Maybe now I'll bite the bullet.
Do you think a couple copies of Zegana would work in this deck? She seems pretty good with the +1/+1 synergies, and she could give Vitu-Ghazi trample for the cases when a 20/20 flier isn't enough.
Zegana would definitely be solid, although it would have to replace some of the instant speed package.
Great combo! Love the explanations and knowing what piece of the combo you're looking for. Your opponents were very noob though. I know it's jank but maybe try your decks in ranked instead? You're a great player.

Could play 22 lands and Krasis Hydroid in this deck. Also, Narset is excellent in this deck.
What would be a good sideboard for this deck? I have to say this is one of my favorite deck to play right now and wanted to try it in Bo3 but not sure what would be good cards to sideboard.

How about Helm on ghazi with a evolution sage on field to make ghazi ramp faster

no it just makes a land that's how the helm works since it doesn't copy the counters, it works the same way in an artifact deck with the karn effect turning an artifact into a creature and the Nissa effect of a land into a 3/3
But that just may be how Arena works not sure if that's what is suppose to happen
I wonder if you could work a Nissa into this and get vitu indestructible with her ultimate. Or is that way too slow?
Provably too slow. He wants to play vitu on turn 5 to win. Not take a turn off for nissa
Could you imagine living in vitu ghazi when it becomes a creature? Your house would get destroyed and you would have to send out a bunch of change of address forms to the post office

As defense against flyers? Maybe sideboard to shoot down Lyra's and thief of sanitys. Good idea though.
I think the explore package and the incubation druids slow this deck down. Yes, having a stable base is important for combo-y decks but with because of the raw power and speed of this combo, I don't see it as necessary. Speed it up!
