Thanks for sharing your preferred tool finishes. I have also tried a few different ones and agree that Supercheap paints offer decent value, have also used their Can Do range for a few things including the timber on F clamps etc. Agree also, I don't know if the primers do much really. With spray cans, I like how you can easily clear the dried up paint in the nozzle with just a little acetone to get it working like new again. One paint I really like from the hardware is the White Knight rust guard gloss epoxy. I've had a small tin of this that's over 10 years old and it's in perfect shape. If applied thinly, there's no brush marks. Because of the slow dry, any marks just seem to cure out. Also requires no primer, is tough, and is my preferred paint restoration on hand planes.
@@AussieWoodshed Thanks, it's the colour that Record used, but if you do use it it wont necessarily have the same aged look that paint develops over time.

For the Records I use the 110 Roundel Blue from Variety Paints in Wangara
