Great reaction Britt. A few corrections. Angelina entered Norways Got Talent at 7 but was already 8 at the time she performed this song. Also Angelina turned 18 this past January 10.
Another thing to note, Angelina wasn’t given the song to sing, she has always chosen her own songs, even as a very little girl. The only times this hasn’t been the case is when she was asked to provide vocals for another artists song.
Yes Nancy Sinatra is Frank Sinatra’s daughter. This song was first recorded and released by Cher in 1965. It was written by her then husband Sonny Bono. Cher had a huge hit with the song.
Shortly after Cher released the song Nancy Sinatra recorded it for an album. Her version was not released as a single which is probably why I never knew she recorded it.
Nancy’s version gained great popularity when it was used in the film Kill Bill in 2003. Many reactors to Angelina’s version don’t even know that Cher was the original artist. They think of it as a Nancy Sinatra song.
Angelina based her performance on Nancy’s version. I actually prefer Angelina’s version at 8 years old to the Cher and Nancy Sinatra version. Particularly because of the slides she adds in the middle.
I remember Cher singing this on the Sonny and Cher Show when I was little. They sang a lot of covers on that show, so I didn't know that this was an original.

It was the 3rd performance on Norway's Got Talent after Gloomy Sunday, I'm a Fool to want you accapella and before her winning performance Summertime. The song was written by Sonny Bono for Cher. Nancy, Franks daughter, Made it a hit. Angelina was 18 dear. Great reaction ♥👣
Angelina turned 18 on January 10, 2024 and the concert was on Feb 29th 2024 - This means that she is technically a female adult and this was her first concert as an adult.

I still prefer Angelina's 8 yr-old performance, even though the current one IS incredible. I just love how "flat" her emotional delivery is...pretty unusual for a child!! Another thing you will notice in her 8-year-old performance is that when she sings each line she doesn't end the note she keeps it constantly very subtly and she carries it into the next part I shot you down holding the note bang bang you hit the ground still holding the note bang bang like that

Hey Britt..another sweet reaction. Apparently AJ had several dress changes during the 2 LV concerts. She opened the early concert with "Diamonds
are Forever" in a gown that weighed 45 lbs (fitted with much metal). AJ's NGT performance of "Bang Bang" was her 3rd performance, in 2014 by that time.
The guitar in the NGT performance was so awesome. The trumpet accompaniment for her final "Summertime" was equally awesome.

Nancy Sinatra (Frank’s daughter) had the most success with this song in 1966. However, Cher was the first to perform earlier the same year. Sonny Bono, Cher’s husband at the time wrote it.

I was thinking about “the art of reacting to music vids” and the following occurred to me
1) The people who suggest ( even pay ) for their favourite recordings to be “reacted to” will always want their choices to be given, at the very least, a favourable review. Now, this - even on a subliminal level- must result in “reactors” - almost always giving good reviews ( of course, it could be that “reactors” choose not to air bad reviews ).
2) I’m sure lots us will have experienced recordings that, on first listen, didn’t impress us but, on subsequent listens, the song started to grow on us and, on some occasions ended up being one of our favourite recordings. With this in mind, it’s amazing how most reactors “get” recordings on first encounters. Strange that.
3) On the choice of recordings reacted to, there must be a temptation to always pick songs that have lots of hits because that way reactors - by extension - can also be quaranteed lots of hits.
BTW, I’m airing these views on Britt’s channel because I visit her reactions a lot, and not because I feel that she falls into the above categories. Indeed, her views always come across as spontaneous and very genuine.

Nancy Sinatra is the daughter of Frank Sinatra, she had a huge hit "These Boots Are Made For Walkin'" released December 16, 1965. While the song was made famous by Nancy, Hazlewood said the writing of the tune was inspired by a line Frank said in the comedy western, 4 for Texas, in 1963. The line was, “They tell me them boots ain’t built for walkin’.” In the song, the boots are made for walking. They’re made for walking out on no good, cheating men and they’re good, furthermore, for walking on their hearts before the head out the door. The track appeared on Nancy’s 1966 album, Boots. It was a follow-up to her popular tune, “So Long, Babe.”
Writing the song, Hazlewood wanted to record it himself. He even said that “it’s not really a girl’s song.” But Nancy talked him out of it, saying, “Coming from a guy, it was harsh and abusive, but was perfect for a little girl to sing.” Hazlewood, perhaps receiving an offer he couldn’t refuse, eventually agreed.
We love it when she does Stage stuff between songs and I'm sure she doesn't mind... that's when we all connect with her, and support her... She had 36 songs to sing in 4hrs... she works hard and we show our love.

I absolutely prefer her 8 year old performance because its her natural voice . but angelina seems to be using different inflections / vocal style / delivery for some time now , not keen .give me her natural vocals like " you say " " unchained melody "( nobel peace prize ) " hero " " suspicious minds " " one moment in time " " princess of ruins " " love is a game " " fields of gold " etc .her natural voice imo is far superior to what she is using quite often these days .
I agree! She is phenomenal in whatever she sings -- but her natural voice has always sounded better to me. I like her present-day songs and vocal style okay; however, I much, MUCH more prefer going back and watching her performances from the ages of 8 to 15 ("Bang Bang," "Summertime," "What a Difference a Day Makes," etc., up to "Million Miles," "7th Heaven," "You Say," etc.). I also miss the smile (too much of the "pouty-lip supermodel" frowning now), the wave, the "Bye!", the white dresses, the flower hairpieces, absence of overdone makeup. But I have to keep remembering (because I raised two daughters) that she is still in her experimental teens and still developing her musical/vocal styles and range which probably won't reach their peak until age 26 or 27 or beyond. Saying all that, I still think of her almost as a "virtual granddaughter" and love her for the incredible, adorable, and wonderfully sweet & empathetic young lady she has always been.

I love that she is still experimenting, including with her vocal style. Bring on the twang, and whatever other new vocal stylings she decides to play around with. She's a jazz musician at heart, and will likely always try new approaches including in her vocal delivery.
