The crocodile of Crete filmed by drone!!!!

The shot was taken in the morning on 07.07.2014 in the dam lake in Amari Rethymno, Crete, Greece.
There are no free crocodiles in Greece and this is the only one found and filmed in a natural environment.
Probably someone stupid had bought it from a pet store and then he left it free in the lake.
Several attempts have been made to catch it and take it to a country that can live, but unfortunately they could not and the next winter ''SIFIS'' died.
The scientists who examined him after his death told us that it was a Nile crocodile.
Until about 10 years ago, the law in Greece and in many countries of Europe allowed the import and sale of exotic animals.
Greece had been filled with pet shops that had snakes, poisonous spiders, iguanas, and newborn crocodiles.
Every stupid with money wanted to have a pithon or a pet iguanas !!!
Fortunately, this law has changed and the balance returned to the environment.

I would like to say a few things about the video.
The video is a document that proves the unique existence of a free crocodile in Greece and equal in Europe. For that reason this video was attended by millions of people throughout the world in youtube and the world's largest television networks.
Not because it shows some great large crocodile!
I really am surprised by people who do not know how to shut down the sound of their phone and others who can not understand that the video when it was made was the document of the existence of a crocodile in Epirus and a country that should not live and even free.
    Thank you!

Every generation criticises it's successor, while natural it contributes to nothing in the long run. I can name several millennials who are successful in their respective fields. You need to understand we are born and grew up in a relative era of peace with the comforts of technology, our surroundings shaped our attitude. • @jacob2790
      @jacob2790 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@Tryin’ to stay high Propellers propel. Rectangles are squares, squares arent rectangles. Rudders dont propel anything at all, they control steering on ships, boats, and other things that travel on water. A planes rudder also does not propel anything. Like a ships rudder its used to steer, though isnt the primary source for steering at all. Its true purpose is to counteract adverse yaw and pitch factor. Wind and sails propel, and so do tails and propellers

Got so big we had to donate them to the Zoo. I'm sure others were purchased & got too big to handle... then set loose in rivers & lakes. Every once & awhile there were reports of someone sighting a full grown gator in a lake or river in the area. Same thing "might" have happened in Crete.

There was a huge monster American Alligator Up in Mountain Georgia where it generally gets too "coldish" for them. Their natural range ended down somewhere around Albany Georgia not up above Atlanta. It was found under a bridge in a shallow creek. I have no idea how it survived the winter without a deep gator hole to go into. I guess a few pet ones lived in NYC sewers though? That may be urban legend. LOL No one knows how it got that far up. It scared the crap out of a fisherman and it had no competition for fish I guess so it had thrived. They went and got it and put it in a nature park in warmer area. I'm sure he's papa gator to lots of babies by now. It was lonely and sad just like this poor Grecian Crocodile.

Sadly it was the guy's best friend who was carrying on with his wife who betrayed him, lured him out duck hunting and shot him. She had the poor guy declared dead and the two culprits ended up married. One day he beat her and she told on him so he told the Authorities what happened. He figured if he was going to jail for abuse she could go for what she knew about/planned too. He really did seem remorseful and of course any woman that would plan that is not worth having any way. They could never "prove prove" that she put him up to it but she's doing time just the same for conspiracy and covering it up those years. I think she got more time than him because he took a deal. They got away with it for almost 20 years though. As bad as that all was, the extra bit was the wife kept the poor man's only child away from her little sweet Grandmother too so we are all hoping one day that will get fixed. The victim's mom ( the gran ) never gave up on finding him. This story's been on TV on National crime shows ( people magazine tv and 48 hours ) it was so compelling and twisted. It’s not that cold there - the average winter temperatures in Crete is 7°C in the morning, 13° in the afternoon.
But crocodiles are very sensitive to cold. That’s why they only live in the tropics. They stop feeding when it’s colder than 21°, and they begin to die if it drops below 13° for too long.
