This is fantastic. This was an awesome interview. I've met Roger a number of times, and he is always smiling and happy and more than willing to shake your hand and have a small chat with you. Roger is my favorite bassist ever, and my biggest musical influence!!!
So I have a sister that I really don't get a long with I mean she's 10 years older than me, but last night as we celebrated the new year I was playing music on our tv & the only song I remember loving as a 2nd grader back in like 2001 was the science of selling yourself which happened to play on TH-cam I just had to give my sis a big ol hug because of the amazing feeling we both shared towards this song. My sister is a huge fan of LTJ but it was pretty cool that the nostalgia brought us back to those times
This is a great interview, you've got the tone just perfect and ask intelligent questions (unlike many rock journalists!)! Roger is cool too, what a relaxed guy.
I remember seeing Less Than Jake back in the mid 90's and yhey threw out this packages that had a few LTJ trinkets and i got a LTJ Spark Space Gun. I couldn't tell you what happened to it?
I just stumbled over this video and remember so many of the shows you guys mention (I live in South Jersey). My first time seeing LTJ was Warped 97, remember the Suicide Machines throwing out the security guards? I also remember LTJ/Blink/Frenzal Rhomb at the Troc for like $6.50. This is a great interview. Also kudos to the Vapid interview, not too many Screeching Weasel fans anymore.
