Another episode that warms my heart. Thank you CNA for this one. What makes me love this and the previous episode is it's broken my wrong notion about Singaporeans. I always thought that because of their economic stature, they are snobbish and condescending. Actually they know better and act better. They are wise enough to realise the indispensable role of their helpers to them and their economy. Great episodes.
Heartwarming story! Shawn has a beautiful heart to recognize the selfless love of Lily. We usually hear about the bad experiences of domestic helpers abroad. This story shines a light on the goodness of people’s hearts, both that of the OFWs and of the ones who treat them as members of their families.
As a Filipino expatriate, I express my gratitude for your visit to your domestic worker from the Philippines, which alleviated her feelings of longing. Your gesture serves as a commendable example to the residents of Singapore who employ domestic help from abroad. May God bless you and your family for your kindness.
I like this show because it highlights some traits of Filipinos-- selflessness and community. In this era wherein people have become more and more individualistic, we are reminded how crucial and beneficial collectivism is for us to thrive and grow strong. That, similar to a bamboo plant, when people come together, we can hold on to each other and multiply our strength. So that come the storms, trials and tribulations, we only bend but still be able to stand back up as the storm clears. Keep safe and thank y'all.
