Watching from Hong Kong 🇭🇰 I am a domestic helper here also.Everytime I watched this kind of segment my tears fall down because my employer daughter that I'm the one taking care of her since birth is telling me that aunty when you go back home if ever I grown up, I will go to Philippines and find you there because I cannot forget you for my whole life ,your the one who's taking care of me every day when my mom is not around, she always tell me aunty thank you for everyday taking care of me..❤❤❤❤❤so very sweet little girl..
Singaporeans are one of the kindest people in the world. My mom also worked in SG when I was in Grade 6 for us to have an education. Now we are all professionals becoz of her sacrifices. My mom's employer back then are so kind...Thank you Singapore❤
Watching from Germany.... I am a product of DH in Singapore.. My sister used to work in Singapore in order for me to go to nursing school in the Philippines. Now I'm working as a nurse here in Germany... Good thing my sister went home and got married. She has now 2 children and now it's my turn to help them.
The way that Auntie Marlyn cried in the car when they were departing really brought tears to my eyes... She definitely had been trying her best not to cry until the very end... Wishing her the best of health and happiness!
Lets treat our helper well...be they Filipino or other nationality...they gave part of their lives for us n its not been easy for them...lets treat them like one of our family...
As a Filipino working abroad, I empathized with auntie's experience because it is similar to what I have been doing up to this point. I am grateful to Rachel's family for treating auntie like a member of their own family, and Rachel's gesture of sharing her story and visiting auntie means a great deal to us Filipinos. It is my hope that this story will inspire other Asians to care for and respect their domestic helpers as fellow human beings.
I love this series. That she said to auntie, “you let OUR dreams come true” was so meaningful. To all the aunties who sacrificed their own families and their own dreams - thank you for all you’ve done ❤
I have watched 3 series of Finding Auntie and they're all from the Philippines. It only shows that Filipinas have great love for their employers and treat them as their family. My aunt who also worked at Singapore was able to get married to a Swiss National and now she has 2 daughters. I always remember her everytime I watched your videos.
So touching..she deserves to be treated with love. She dedicated half of her life with your family. And she is lucky to have you very nice family with good heart❤️❤️❤️
Watching here in Phil.i'm also a DH in Singapore since 2007 to 2023,i'm going back here in phil.last yr.for good coz i'm sick i have tumor cancer in my spinal cord😔..i don't regret to wrk in Singapore as a DH for many yrs coz now my 3 daughters they have a good job coz they finish their study,i'm very proud to became a Single mum working in Singapore.i'm very proud of my previous employer where still contacting and also she send me a Balikbayan Box she gave a set computer, shampoo, milo, nutella, peanut butter, kaya, clothings i'm very happy to my employer she very kind, generousity i'm very lucky to my employer and there siblings they are all good to me💖💖💖
I think it's the 4th finding auntie i watched. And it made me cry again, happy to see them together, they're not related to blood, but they treat each other like family.
Rachel, you are a gem, what a way to honor auntie Marlyn with your kind gestures, really show how you are raise well, the immense appreciation of your family towards auntie Marlyn really proves that respect and love was deeply rooted in your upbringing..
Another one. At least this one is so much happier and not tearjerker. Hahaha! I love this series! Thank you for this CNA! And the scrapbook is so sweet.
When she said she stayed in singapore more than she did in the phils. I didnt doubt for a sec. She actually speaks english more like a singaporean than with a filipino accent. This is very good content. Heartwarming. And a little heartbreaking at d same time. So nice seeing the singaporrans appreciate their helpers.
Thank you to the families for caring and treating our "kababayans" as part of your families. The aunties have left their home country to take care of another family in a foreign country.
I love this series. It shows how these domestic helpers helped shape the new generation of Singaporeans and shows how caring these helpers are. It brings tears to my eyes.
I didn’t notice that I was smiling the whole time watching the video. Nice to see that she really took time to visit and surprise Auntie. 😊. Auntie’s S’porean accent is very evident that she really loves Singapore even if she’s not working there anymore. What a great episode!
For many of these helpers who have spent most of their lives with other families, what they do is more than just a job, it's a vocation. Since their motivation to work away from home is to give (to their parents, children, siblings), it's not difficult for them to treat their work and life as something to give (a gift) to families they live with. May they all have happy and fulfilling vocations while in Singapore, and a healthy retired life back home.
Auntie: "I know if you come back from anywhere. I'm there for you and I'm very happy about that." (❤) Rachel: 😢 ("I've cried enough for this...") -memories
This is the most touching and sincere Finding Auntie episode. I smile and cry along with Rachel and Auntie Marlyn. Looking forward to the next episode. 😊
Oh man this story melting my heart right now Cudos to both families and thank you for treating Auntie with compassion while she’s under your roof you are an amazing bunch of humans! My mom and her siblings travel similar paths sacrificing their life for someone else to benefit both sides somehow, we’ll done god bless and we continue to hope that more people still exists in this crazy world like you people!🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I love and so much connected on this show finding auntie .. until now I'm still in Singapore .real stories .. thank you for appreciating us .as your auntie
Watching from Mexico and I appreciate this young woman a lot, who knows how to look back her past. She's also pretty and gorgeous. Future Ms. Singapore.
Thanks CNA for this series. I myself also worked as a helper for 5yrs in Singapore. I can really relate on how it feels leaving my own family back home and also leaving the Singaporean family I've learned to love after finishing my contract in Singapore. Blessed to have found good employers who are God fearing and kind and treats me like part of the family. Singapore will always be a second home for me. 😢
My mom worked in Hong Kong for 15 years and only had 2 employers, and the last one was for 10 years. We are very greatful that she was loved by the family she worked for. After retiring, they kept in touch with her and kept sending gifts to her until she passed away at the age of 57. It took us a lot of time convincing her to retire since me and my three other siblings already finished college and are already employed. If it wasn't for her Myomectomy, she wouldn't have granted our request for her to retire early. Like Auntie Marlyn, she started a mini-grocery though we're giving her a monthly allowance of around 25,000. Whenever I think of her, I just still feel hurt that she passed away too early. I wish we would have had more time repaying her love and hardwork for give us a better life. 😫😭🤧
It was such an interesting story and a great relationship formed between them --they are like Mother and Daughter . Thank you so much for sharing. What a great bond❤
You are good employers/ family with a good heart. You treated your helper like a member of your family. You know how to appreciate the service she rendered to your family. Love begets Love..
This program is sooooo heartwarming 🥹 Because this shows how kind and warm most of the Filipino domestic helpers is. I am sooo proud to be a Filipino OFW 🥰 I love this series really 😍
Filipinos loved these kinds of documentaries. Especially many see what they are doing as "poor man's job". hope you are really into appreciating them. and avoid doing these if you have a hidden agenda or if it isn't coming from the bottom of your heart. a Simple Thank you will melt Filipino hearts. Kudos to you guys!
Watching from Canada. I was working for 7 years in Hongkong. Im glad that there is a employer like Rachel’s Family who love and value there helper. Also move by Marlyn ‘s story it was inspiring, thank you CNA Insider for making this show very touching story you make cry the whole time.
Wow! I feel the same as I am a helper here in Singapore since 1985 until now, working with different employers, for the sake of my family the same thing, I help all my family siblings and also support my nephews and niece with their studies in UNIVERSITY , and I am so happy what my life is, never think of myself just what I want to do help my siblings . So hopefully that someday when I am going back home for good as well... God bless us with our hard works for our family.
This episode of Finding Auntie was so heartwarming! Auntie Marilyn's Singaporean accent is so endearing and it's amazing to see how she's still so connected to her time there. Rachel's gesture of bringing joy and recognition to Auntie Marilyn after all these years really showcases the deep bonds that can form in such relationships. It's a poignant reminder of the sacrifices and the humanity of our domestic helpers. Thank you, CNA, for shedding light on these stories that often go untold. "Auntie you have given me 21 years of your life." made me cry. Rachel's parents and Auntie Marlyn raised her well
“What can I give you?” - this sentence really made me teared up. Thanks CNA for this meaningful series!

Most Singaporean families are nice to their helper as they are looking after the employer's kid day and night.

I love this series. That she said to auntie, “you let OUR dreams come true” was so meaningful. To all the aunties who sacrificed their own families and their own dreams - thank you for all you’ve done ❤

With so much poverty in PH. These domestic helpers deserve more credit. They sacrifice their whole life to serve others and raising their children.
Auntie still carrying that Singaporean accent 😊
Yeah just 2yers pass of course the accent is still there.
of course you spend 37yrs in that country. so cute hehe
Thank you to the families for caring and treating our "kababayans" as part of your families. The aunties have left their home country to take care of another family in a foreign country.
Proud to be a Filipino here 😊. I am so happy seeing/watching those employers are still looking for their former helper ❤.
