True that…
Pretty effortless compared to flying or driving!
4x the amount of what gas would cost.

North Walsham is actually in Norfolk, England, UK if knowone has mentioned it before. Its where the hotel receptionists boss was from. She had a lovely demeanour about her too. The beauty about Noel is he has always taken risks & not focus just on luxury travel. You get to know all the pitfalls & not just the good things through this channel which makes Noels channel the best aviation/bus/train travel channel by far
Yes, I'm from England and had never heard of North Walsham.Agreed, the receptionist was very pleasant
Maybe next time you're in NYC or DC, do a trip on the Jet bus. Based on other videos, it looks phenomenal.
The jet bus is really what this should've been
i think he did it already ... or maybe i have him confused with someone else
@@Gruezi583might be jebb brooks or w.e his name is
It’s the seats that were the highlight
Another great video Noel as always, it would be interesting to see what the meals are like on a bus journey.
I’d definitely use this service, nice one Noel 👍😉💪
Thanks 👍
Great video, I’ve enjoyed your travels as always. I’m hoping to bump into you at some airport soon
If you come back to Mexico someday you should try the luxury-class busses down here, they're pretty comfortable and a nice experience.
Really good video and im so glad I now know about this bus service. I hate flying but want to visit texas from the UK so badly so this looks excellent ❤ all i have to do now is get over the atlantic by bus somehow 😂
I've been watching all of your vlogs lately. Noel, enjoying your content 👌
This reminded me of the 70’s disaster movie Big Bus.
North Walsham f- that’ll be Norfolk way, near Norwich :)
There is a bus that goes to New York from Washington D.C. where the seats float and move effortlessly so that you don't feel bumps. I think it might be a 1 - 1 or a 1 - 2 Configuration. You should look that one up. I think it's called Jet Bus Line.
There is a DART Station at Love Field
Thanks for always sharing so if it’s trash or not we have a heads up to or not to book haha
A bargain and a pleasant experience than your greyhound trip 😀
It does look very Heathrow Express
If you don't mind me asking, why did you leave the UK?
We had always wanted to live in the US & now we can try it.
What happened to the loo review jingle?
I have no idea.
Factoring in all that information about how hard it is to fly, how far it is to drive, and how cheap that is in comparison to everything as well as how nice the whole thing just seems... the people who invented this bus service and design are GENIUSES and deserve to rake in the cash.
They been doing this Between KL and Singapore for cheaper and more luxurious for a LONG time.
more luxurious I agree. but you gotta factor in the local economy. I am not an american, but everything I know about them (and their transport infra) so far, this seems relatively cheap compared to every other modes.@@neth77
And it's a time waster to be driving for 4 hours too. Here you can sit and read, etc. The Wi-Fi should have been working though. Imagine boarding the bus, pulling out your device the first minute, and finding out that it's going to be a long 3 hours and 59 minutes ahead
@@allison4882 Well, you can always do what we did in the olden days, read a book😀
@@neth77 Ever thought costs might be a LITTLE lower in KL than in Texas?
You should always check in as two people when using the Hilton Gold food & beverage credit. It doubles the amount. The front desk lady was even trying to lead you to do this.
Or you could just tell the truth. Nothing in life is really free except the air we breathe.
@@francisbtubeor stay in hotels with free breakfast and wifi to begin with and rack up the rewards then staying at places that don't. Problem solved.

Don't forget that he was "Netflix and chill" in the back row.
Two hours in an airport, plus an hour flight, or four hours on a bus? Give me the bus, any day.
I didn't even know there was a bus service like this between Dallas/Houston/Austin. Cool stuff! I'd much rather laugh at traffic on I-45 than deal with the TSA. haha
I love how you bring genuine enthusiasm to each experience. Some of the other travel bloggers I follow on TH-cam seem to get jaded over time but you give each experience a fresh chance to impress. You seek out the positive and it's awesome, thank you!
Wow, thank you!
if this whole journey is only about half an hour longer than the whole plane ride, it's a steal of a deal
We had a 'Noel Phillips: Loo Review' without the cute little introduction? Ah Shoot, thats the best part. 😂
i agree. i missed that clip!
That high speed train line would be perfect for this route.
Imagine the amount of support it'd generate for projects to occur across the country, when everyone realises just how convenient and fast it'd be compared to flying or driving.
The issue is I don’t think the state government cares enough about us to even truly get things going with high speed rail but yes we really need it. I’m just happy San Antonio international is finally expanding enough to make my work travel out of here more bearable but damn I’d love to just take rail to IAH and fly out of there since I use United Airlines the most. My saving grace is the fact that United uses SAT as a “hublet” which I learned was a thing a month ago lol
it be great for football games considereing how houston is doing
Why would it be “convenient” compared to flying? The only thing I can think of is TSA in the US but that will undoubtedly come to hsr
@@braydengrant1046
No
The problem with rial is of course that it requires a land corridor. Not a deal breaker, BUT it means you have to PAY market rates for the "right of way" or cause much angst by invoking "eminent domain"...
What a night and day difference compared to Greyhounds service.
Great way to avoid the riff riff too.
@@tablescissorsThose 'riff raff' are people who,by circumstance or bad luck, havent the means or ability to travel any other way. Noel himself said he met people on the Greyhound he would never have met otherwse. Be careful judging and making assumptions.
At 300% of the price of course.
Vonlane was very nice. Maybe not quite a private jet level, but far nicer than the Greyhound. Seems like a peaceful way to get between the two cities, not a lot of other options other than flying (or using your own vehicle).
Netflix and chill on a bus?
Ummm, Noel, you might need to look up that phrase 😂
Love the video and all your content!!
It's OK. He was chewin' on his nuts, it's allowed.
Don't forget he was also chewing on his nuts too!
yup lol - pretty sure he doesn't know what this phrase actually means LMAO!

@@diogoverardi7529I dont know either! Care to enlighten us? If it’s dirty use euphemisms, thanks.
Took Vonlane to Houston for a convention last year and it was an awesome experience! Also made me question why more of Texas isn’t connected by bus; I mean, we’re literally a flat plain (mostly) with lots of roads….
As a former busdriver myself, that's a pretty nice ride. Dream job in transportation.
I’ve heard terrible things about driving for them. It’s a shame because it seems like a career that could be something to be proud of
@@DanielDaniel1 Heard from whom? And what things?
@@tablescissors directly from their drivers. I’m in the same industry but city. They’re treated as totally disposable, not paid enough yet demanding drivers that are seasoned enough to provide high level service. They’re non union as well. Not to mention they’re always hiring which either means that retention is poor or the company is wildly expanding (doubtful, being that I know where their terminal by me is and the fleet size has hardly changed in the past year.)
I suppose that it’s an ok place to cut your teeth for regional luxury bus driving but the real career will always be in OTR like with Sam’s Limousine which is a higher tier even than Vonlane
@@DanielDaniel1 Glad I asked, thx 4 the info
Noel not knowing where North Walsham is! Big up the Norfolk crew (UK, about 10 miles North East of Norwich!
I'm close to there too. Funny hearing it haha
Oh yes boy! 😀
I was just about to say you could hear Noel's cogs working for North Walsham - I am sure he has flown over it a few times!
Indeed. What are the chances. She looks at him quite intensely hoping for recognition! Noel has no excuse for not being able to tell her about the traditional market cross and the impressive font cover in the church. ;-)
I'm from Swaaaaaffham bor.
Noel is really taking to living in America. Love it!
Yup it’s great. I wish more good citizens like him would move here from Europe.
is it that simple to moving there though? id love to move over there - im 38 years old with a 31 year old mrs - how hard is it to get to live there?@@paulkay3307
@@paulkay3307 It's a hard sell to most Europeans, mostly from having to give up their universal healthcare for the US healthcare system. UK is maybe a little easier merely because salaries in the UK generally suck compared to the likes of France Germany, Scandinavia or the US, but cost of living is as high if not higher than the continent.
@paulkay3307 my sister considered moving to the US from the UK but even though she found a good job there was a lot of downsides , such as the lack of vacation days in the UK we get up to 5 weeks off a year , she didn't want to work all year round and burn out. She moved to Australia instead because they have similar policies as the UK
We settled on booking a vacation to the states instead.
you dont think of thins like that do you? the holidays etc i think i would struggle to adapt to anywhere that was roasting all the time too! @@AymeeDonovan
A bit of an upgrade from Greyhound! I never knew this service existed. I may look into it next time I go to Houston, as the Hyatt Regency is closer to where all my relatives live (south of Houston). I do hope they someday make that fast rail service between Dallas and Houston, but I'm pretty sure the discussions about it have been in the works since Sam Houston himself was still alive... 😅
I'm not gonna lie, you got me with "Sitting chewing on me nuts". Not sure why but you caught me off guard. 😂🤣
😂 that made me laugh
I was impressed with the bus and its on board service and amenities, on time and smooth sailing all the way , night and day over the greyhound bus service . The extra dollars are definitely worth it in my opinion- great video.
Life long Texan here born and raised and still currently living here and way back in the early 2000s I studied law and legal reasons are the reason why that high speed rail between Dallas and Houston will never happen. The main one is called eminent domain and how it's legally applied and interpreted between the federal, state, and even the different Texas counties is all different. Lastly I would add I have family friends who have taken this service more than once and they all speak highly of it so I might try this one out one day.
Pristine bus, clean toilets, “normal” people on board. Why can’t the Greyhound bus be like this? We all know the answer….
What is it? I've only heard bad things about these greyhound busses.
Lets see... affordability? Many people don't HAVE transport options...
What's the answer??
So nice of the attendant to hand you a tissue while you were Netflix and chilling!
Or was it because of some residue from "chewing on my nuts"?
Noel your content is so entertaining and I'm always looking forward to every new episode thank you. Been a follower since 2020, when we couldn't travel and you were my escape together with ẞam Chiu
Thank you for your kind words.
Hmmm, We went to Las Vegas twice. Nashville, for a weekend. Add to that an 8 day road trip from Vegas to the Grand Canyon, to Sedona, thru the Grand Staicase-Escalante National Monument, to Zion and up to Bryce before heading back to Vegas to fly back to Huntsville, AL. All three of those trip were in 2020 and early 2021. I am immuno compromised and diabetic, mom had major intestinal surgery in late Feb of 2020 and is diabetic as well. Southwest was AMAZING on both trips out and back. On the second trip, they had just started allowing the middle seat to be purchased again, but they let us buy a third seat and reimbursed us both ways because the flights were not booked 100%. I never felt safer, health wise than I did on those COVID trips... No one tried to smash up against us, anywhere. The National Parks and Sedona were at, maybe, 20% of their normal usage, and it was SPECTACULAR not having the hordes of crushing tourists all up your backside, as is the case before and after...
I started watching during the pandemic because of our travels...
Always enjoyed the content too, Noel - wondered how hard it is to move from UK to USA?@@noelphilips
If you are going on a business trip to Dallas from Houston I find it difficult to beat this especially as you can prepare for meetings very comfortably in the coach and for the price it is well worth it.
Noel, if you ever feel like going to Turkey they have an extensive high speed train system, plus apparently the buses are really comfortable. They have recliners and people come and serve you food. They make lots of stops at good service stations. I'd like to see you review one!
Traveled there last year, can confirm. Very cheap tickets as well for the buses
They could become rich if they expanded outside of Texas
Thanks for this video Noel. My wife and I are thinking about doing a part of our honeymoon later this year in Texas, and we wondered what was the best way to get between Dallas/Houston/Austin. It looks like you might have just inadvertently guided us toward this bus service!
That has be the best road coach toilet so much space and clean. This company needs to run alot more routes all over the USA.
Great vid. Love your America trips just as much as your international trips! I think you showed that if someone doesn’t have a car & has to make that trip, it’s probably smarter to take the bus than fly; that’s not usually the case between major cities so it’s an interesting difference. I’m not surprised because car ownership is probably extremely high in Texas.
New year same amazing vids from Noel of bus services I've never heard of. Love it! Sitting chewing on my nuts? I laughed out loud.
Very enjoyable video Noel- and well deserved after your epic Greyhound journey! Stay well and best of luck for the New Year.
Noel, please do another ride on Vonlane during a breakfast or dinner service. I'd love to see what their hot meal options are.
I thought it seemed like a great bargain for $99 - a stress-free ride between the two cities!
Exactly what they need from LA to Vegas!
My wife has used Vonlane twice to get to Dallas from our home in the Houston area, for some work training she needed to attend. I dropped her off and picked her up at that Hyatt in downtown Houston each time. She loved the bus rides. Not having to deal with airports and airplanes for such a short trip is a big deal, and not having to drive I-45 by herself was great too.
Hotel receptionist was lovely. Great vid mate
Glad you enjoyed it
even with the no-el
Sitting chewing on my nuts...that was funny! The bus/coach looked a far better option than flying. If the train route is built that could be even better. Wonder how much Vonlane ride cost? I guess I can google it. [Looks to be around $80-$120 one way]
not worth it
Not exactly the length of Texas
Always look forward to your Sunday morning videos! We'd travel coast to coast on a bus if the service was like you experienced.
What a fun trip. Take the bus on Saturday, spend the night and come back on Sunday. You need a fun trip every once in awhile. Tip: get the bus attendant to show you how to use the table. Think it might have been broken. Lady a couple rows ahead of you had her laptop out. Safe trip home.
Absolutely love your videos no matter if they are in the air or in the ground. Sending you best wishes from Leeds!
Awesome! Thank you!
The term first class seems to have been downgraded the last few years.
Looks like a decent value, quality way of getting there on a 'bus'. Will seriously consider this next time I travel between. Nice review Noel.
The US could benefit so much by having passenger/high-speed rail between cities and subway/trolley cars within cities as well as dedicated priority bike and bus lanes (ie not shared with cars and given a divider median). Makes me infuriated at about 4:00 thinking just how much time could be saved by building HSR between Dallas and Houston. Plus, you could get other stuff done or even just relax while on a train as opposed to always keeping your eyes on the road with driving a car.
I have made that drive many times. Taking Vonlane would have been great back in the day!
not worth the money
$99 is pretty cheap and cheaper if it is only one person. Gas, wear and tear and time with your own vehicle would cost the same or more if you were to go by yourself. I could see if you had to make more stops than just downtown but otherwise, to go from city to city it is pretty cheap. @@remogatron1010
1:11 The "length of Texas" is somewhat longer than Houston to Dallas (240 miles). I would assume Brownsville to Texline would be a longer example (915 miles).
Noel, I appreciate every video you do. Love from Michigan 😊
I’m from Michigan too! 😊
@@Calebs_Aviation love his videos.

Awesome! Thank you!
...a bargain! Compare that to pushing through a crowded disease vector airport and strapping yourself like 2 sausage links in economy for a miserable flight- for 3x the price, AND the bus drops you off a your hotel!
Looks like the bus was a good service at a good price, but the marketing needs to come down a notch to match the reality. Nice video as always.
I am underwhelmed, i paid $50 USD for a 4 hour bus from Singapore to KL and it had way less seats, gaming computer and movies for each seat, personal attendant and a bar/lounge on the lower deck. Each seat fully reclined to a bed. etc etc etc.
Taken into account international flight check in times hours before plus KL airport being an hour from the city, the Bus ride was no longer.
Always a great day when Noel uploads :)
My sister and I took this bus from Austin to Dallas last year. It was pretty comfortable though we had the same issues with the WiFi not working. The tray table took us a minute to figure out but it connects to your seat though it does leave you feeling a bit trapped.
As i drove buses in europe for years. To make it more like a plain the operator could put tv screens in the headrests. And a few bigger tv screens down along the bus showing the route.
I’m a newer subscriber, so I haven’t scrolled through all your videos, but you have tried/considered trying the Rocky Mountaineer luxury train that goes across Canada? From Toronto to Vancouver it’s extremely expensive but the trip from the Rockies in Alberta to Vancouver is supposed to be amazing!
Just did it. It’s amazing
Yes this bus trip was well worth the $99 even though you only got snacks and not a meal. Would have been nice to stop 1/2 way to stretch legs. Happy New Years Noel catch you next video
Agree and with places like QT or Chik Fil tempting you the whole way 🤤
Nice, but two main cities without train connection?? Sadly, the USA has really a 3rd world public transportation system. :(
YES loved this video! I took the exact route you did from Htown to dallas back in April 2023! My friend and I stayed downtown htown for a concert and needed a ride to catch the next concert in Dallas. We were not sure whether to book a flight or a bus given flying for about 30 minutes was just a hassle and super expensive compared to a bus! Fortunately I pitched the Vonlane last minute when I was doing some research and thank goodness! Neither of us wanted to get on a Greyhound lol 😅
We took the 10:30am trip and we got a meal besides all the snacks. It was cold lunches, I believe I got some sort of a turkey sandwich and I enjoyed it! If I remember correctly, there was a chicken wrap option as well which my friend took. Overall, both of us did not want to fly nor take a grubby bus but Vonlane was definitely the best choice for us. Clean, provided a meal, snacks, drinks free wifi! For a short 3 hour trip it was perfect !
Great video Noel! 👍
I would love to try riding on a luxurious bus someday!
It Looked Good. Don’t Like The Drop Off Point. Not convenient If you’re not staying at the double tree hotel. If you have to Uber in to the city that’s going to cost more money. They need more drop off points for customers.
Before the video even starts you pointed out one of the worst reasons to take a bus in the United States and that's the dodgy stations. The Hyatt is a nice alternative.🙂👍
Seen some dodgy stations shown here, they look much better than our decent level bus stations. Though on some occasions, ours would be safer than the US ones.
Really thought I would see a white 70's convertible with a set of Texas long horn cow horns on the front hood! 😂
What's wrong with that? Lol.
I am shocked that the Pakistan bus looks better than the one from the US
I'm not at all shocked. Buses (and most public transport) in the US are awful.
You’re kidding right?
I’ll have you know that was a luxury bus in the U.S.!
It’s a Chinese bus in USA
pakistan lol
Seemed okay. For only $99 you get there as fast as a plane yet much less hassle and even more pleasant since a cheal commercial flight would have been much less comfortable 🤷♂️
Noel you should try the Tufesa bus from Phoenix to Guadalajara Mex. They have a new double Decker bus 😮
I don't disagree with your point about "a hotel by the airport" being an odd place to terminate the service, though I wonder if logistically it wouldn't be viable to serve both on one end or the other? Two stops at one end (or both) with no "local" traffic seems like a workable business model.
should do the luxery buss in Japan, where u get your own cabin and all.. :)
I am so sorry, as you said, you had "to sit and chew on my nuts". My condolences.
funny thing is ive eaten at that chik fila outside love field

Btw thanks for the info. I have seen what you went through with greyhound buses. After i saw it, i decided i decided to not take greyhound! Avoid at all costs!
Noel, all the other travel/aviation TH-camrs I watch took a break for Christmas/New years. Thank you for keeping the content flowing!
god forbid
Man we really need a high speed rail here in Texas connecting San Antonio to Dallas and Houston and so on. That would be nice and I’d take it to Houston to catch flights out instead of out of San Antonio always needing to stop in Houston unless I’m going to another United hub
I took a Greyhound from San Francisco to New York, so, yes, this was luxury. Seats look really comfortable especially for a heavyweight person.
SF to NY by Greyhound Bus is a test of how much suffering a person can endure.
Are you afraid of flying?
@@TheHamburgler123Obviously you have not watched any of his other videos where he took flights that would terrify most passengers.
@@Dave17101 Because flying from San Francisco to NYC on a modern 737 or other model, in a country where there hasn't been a crash fatality in ~14 years (billions upon billions of passengers safely flown since), is the same exact experience as flying in a small aircraft in Pakistan 🙄
Having visited Houston, and considering modern US cities are built around the car, I can verify that there are not many cars in Houston. Not enough to fill the streets, anyway, like they do in European and Asian cities.😀
"travels the length of texas! from houston to dallas!"
*laughs in texan
Yeah, he needs to check out a trip from Beaumont to El Paso -- all 829 miles of it.
He said Houston is 100 miles across, surely thats wrong ? Looking at map I’d say 60/70 maximum.
lol, I don’t think you know what “Netflix and chill” means 😂 good video though :)
Noel, you really need to get around Houston & Galveston more. Lots more to see. The Greyhound station in Houston is wild. Last time I was there all traffic came to a stop suddenly as undercover police pulled up on a guy and arrested him on the sidewalk right in front of me. The shocked look on his face was like watching Law & Order in real life.
Noooo, let’s leave Galveston where it’s at. At least the beach…lol He should go to Matagorda instead
Could be the most luxurious bus in the USA but not in all America, for example in Mexico exist more luxurious buses
Definitely the highlight of the week is a video from Noel
Same here
Wide seats, entertainment and service on board, meals… that looks like most of regular bus services in my country, 99 dollars for a 3-hour trip is outrageous 🤔😳
