    I really like that you tried to say 'people who get periods' and 'as a woman who gets periods' bc that includes trans men who get periods and shows that not all women get them for various reasons, being trans etc. 😊❤️

      @@elliyo4286 I love being all Inclusive but surely not? The entire point is the womb lines itself with blood to create a cusion for the egg and if the egg isn't fertilised then the lining isnt needed and is shed. I've watched documentaries of sex alteration surgery and a cervix is created from inverting the penis. I also found out recently that it is much like a wound and if they dont use expanders then the vagina can close up.
      They also dont produce any secretion and need lube for intercourse because the delicate system that creates natural lubrication isnt able to be recreated also.
      but a womb is still absence and the fallopian tubes arent there so no way of creating a menstrual cycle.
      This is why only biological ladies can have periods because we have all the plumbing and why trans women from men cannot get pregnant. It's not that its changes the fact they are a woman because if they are categorizing themself as such that must of course be honoured but science saying no for trans women having periods. As far as I'm aware anyway. Unless they can now grow wombs and fallopian tubes for them? which would of course be awesome and please send me links to the details if I'm mistaken, as I said I love learning about it ☺️✌🏼

      @elliyo4286 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Kuriousspirit I said not all women get periods for different reasons. Trans women don't get periods. Some trans men do. So saying 'people with periods' is the correct and inclusive term. I don't know what you saying how some operations work relates to that? 🤔 But maybe you misunderstood something.

    This is a great idea especially for those who have medical conditions where they cannot use tampons or period cups..and don’t want to hassle with the bulky pads. Really great, I think this is what we should invest in for those in areas where women don’t have access to period supplies, or where they can’t afford them. This gives them a reusable sanitary option that they can just hand wash and not have to worry about every single month how they will take care of their period cuz they have something that can last use after use.

    I use a different brand (THINX), but have been using period underwear for about 3 years now. I have extremely heavy periods, and I change mine in the morning when I get dressed, in the afternoon when I get home from work, and in the evening before bed on my heaviest days. On the lighter days I just change in the morning and at night. If I put them in the wash in the evening they're washed and dried by the following morning. I have 7 pairs and at most go through 3 in a 24 hour period. They've honestly changed my life and I cannot recommend them enough. I have really unusually heavy periods so if they work for me they'll work for everyone haha! I've also had the same ones from the start so they last really well too x

    If you’re looking to save on wipes and cotton pads the magnitone London face cloths are great. You literally just use water and it removes all of your makeup. I was sceptical but they are fab and the only thing I use to remove my makeup now. I sometimes use it with a cleanser just for my skin, though you don’t need to. I switched to a mensural cup and loved it! However, due to my very heavy flow, I do have occasional leaking. I use a thin panty liner for that which is a huge improvement from the irritating pads I used to use (tampons don’t work for me after a case of toxic shock syndrome I experienced). These absorbing panties could be perfect for me! Thanks for the honest review!

    I’ve been on the mini pill for 8 years now so don’t get periods, but I feel a bit sad that these kinds of products weren’t around during my teens! I’ve got endometriosis so my periods were pretty rough, but just a little bit of luxury and not having to feel like I’m wearing a nappy and having a sani pad sticking to your bits would be quite nice, as well as helping the environment! To be fair I’d probably also have to wear a tampon (or mooncup, never needed to try one of those 😄) as my periods are so heavy, but if I ever need to come off the pill I’ll be putting in a bulk order for these knickers!

I’ve realised that i can normally just change my pants when i get in from work on heavy duty days (my periods can be VERY heavy duty in day one and two) If I’m going to be out literally all day I’m usually headed to the gym or a friend’s house so it’s easy enough to take a second pair anyway :) just rinse the pair I’ve taken off in the shower at gym or the sink at my mates, pop them in a wee zip up bag and take them home

    Make-up remover flannels are great, but a lot of them are made of microfiber, and they release micro plastic in the wash, which ends up in the ocean and is harmfull. I'm pretty sure there are special washbags made to put microfiber flannels and stuff in when you put them in the washer so the micro plastic doesn't end up in the water, might be worth checking out :) Love the vid tho

    Might give the period pants a try. I’ve already switched to non applicator tampons as the applicator is unnecessary. But might give these a shot although I tend to get a heavy flow and can go though about 2 super plus tampons in an hour sometimes but maybe these will be good for my third day onwards.

      I use a different brand, but have been using period underwear for about 3 years now. I have extremely heavy periods, and I change mine in the morning when I get dressed, in the afternoon when I get home from work, and in the evening before bed on my heaviest days. On the lighter days I just change in the morning and at night. I shove them in the wash in the evening and they're washed and dried by the following morning. They've honestly changed my life and I cannot recommend them enough. I have really unusually heavy periods so if they work for me they'll work for everyone haha! I've also had the same ones from the start so they last really well too x

    • @stephe7526

      If you prefer tampons to pads you should try a menstrual cup. You can wear them for 12 hours and you just empty it morning and night. Period underwear are great too. I use both depending on my mood.

    I have super (I mean super 2 pad job) heavy periods for the first couple of days does anyone who is the same leak out of these or are they pretty good? (I can’t believe I’m asking this on a TH-cam video 😂😂😂) also so with you on the buying un wrapped food! 👌👌 One pet peeve of mine is ordering online with click and collect buying loose veg and ticking bring your own bags and when you pick it up all the bits and bobs are in bags and even other stuff is too 😫

      If you're that heavy try a cup! On heavy days I would have to use a night time pad during the day and I don't even half fill a cup in 12 hours

      I've literally never leaked once in the 3 years I've been using them for every single period and I get such a heavy flow. I don't even leak overnight. Now and again I've left the same pants in from morning til bedtime on a really heavy day if I've not been able to change and it's not even leaked then. They're bloody miracles!

    I'm always trying to reduce my footprint and realize that my period is one of the areas where I create the most waste :( I have extremely heavy periods and have always been nervous to try these things out! I highly doubt I'd be able to go the whole day with one pair of pants, which is fine if I'm home, but if I'm at work or out it might be a tad awkward! Any one have any tips?

    • @PokemaniacBou
      @PokemaniacBou 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I could recommend using them in conjunction with a menstrual cup? I have heavy periods too but the cup is a game changer and usually lasts as long or longer than tampons before filling up. Add the undies to catch any leaks and I think you'd be set, since either on their own might not be enough 😊

      I would buy from a brand based in your country/manufacturered in your company. Modi body are Australian I believe so I wouldn't buy from them just because I live in UK and there are UK brands doing the same thing and they're stocked over here thus reducing the carbon footprint.

      At least now there's choice so you can still use the disposable option if you're going on a long day out or holiday where parents might not like carrying around dirty nappies for the day and be able to keep pads/tamps in your bag for 'unexpected visits'

      I use almost exclusively period underwear for my menstrual cycle. I do wear them all day long, they can definitely handle 12 hours of bleeding. I check them every few hours when I go to the bathroom to make sure they're not too saturated. I feel dry and comfortable while wearing them. They are so convenient and so good for the environment and they make me really happy.

      They don't feel damp to me, but (TMI COMING UP) I have quite uh, thick blood with my periods with lots of like clots and blobs and stuff (SO SORRY FOR THIS OMG) and when I go to the loo if it's got like, stuff there, I just give the knickers a quick wipe with a piece of loo roll 😊
