  • Thule’s T2 Pro XT is a premium platform hitch bike that delivers maximum strength, security, and user-friendliness. This rack’s AutoAttach design makes it an easy installation and removal with no tools necessary. The HitchSwitch lever allows the rack to be tilted up for storage or tilted down for rear vehicle access. The ratcheting arms secure the bikes with no frame contact. The integrated cable lock and lock knobs lock the bikes to the rack for maximum security. The spacing between the bike mounts eliminates bike contact and interference.
    -Carries 1 to 2 bikes up to 60 lbs. each (120 lbs. total carrying capacity)
    -Compatible with vehicles equipped with a 2” receiver hitch
    -Compatible with bikes with 20” - 29” wheels and up to 5” tires - no adapters necessary
    -Ideal for carbon frames, mountain, downhill, or fat bikes

    Thanks for this demo! I just had a hitch and this rack installed on my 2021 Forester and using for the first time tomorrow. I had some buyers remorse due to how expensive it was but I can’t see my old ass lifting a bike to put on a roof rack! Lol.

      @@marcosnava89 it’s been great! It’s a heavy rack and bulky, but solid.

    Bought it and used it yesterday. It is a beauty, but I wish there was a solid loop, or something to that effect, welded on it to put my chain link bike lock through. It really could use an extra way to lock the bikes up more securely.

    Nice demonstration. But I wish you had lowered the tailgate (with no bikes installed) to show that the tailgate could indeed be lowered all the way. I have my doubts about clearance on my truck.

      Blake is showing you @3:35 that the tailgate will not open with a bike on the rack but you have access. In this T2 pro XT Add-on review, Blake is seen opening the tailgate with rack tilted and 0 bikes on the rack @0:43. Hope this helps

    The auto locking pin on mine constantly gets bumped out of the hole. Is it purely to find a good position for the rack or is it supposed to be functional as some kind of fastener?

  • @kathleenbeecher6336
    @kathleenbeecher6336 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    VERY CLEAR! One question, you mention that the bolts that hold the rails to the hitch bar are pre-treated with thread locker. I had to purchase other bolts, as mine were missing, so can you recommend what I should buy for a thread locker product?

  • @DigitalDawg
    @DigitalDawg 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    You lifted that bike nicely and placed it easily into the rack slot nearest the truck. But what if that were an eBike weighing 60#? Is there a ramp associated with this that can be bought? And if so, could the bike actually be wheeled across the rack so the wheels would find their way into resepctive wheel receptors? Funny, I seldom see TH-cam demonstrations of putting heavy bikes into racks that are capable of handling their weight - always using regular MTB instead.

    • @blakeperez3899

      Tim, the T2 also has some side to side adjustment. You can move the platforms a few inches each way by loosening the bolts underneath adjusting the platform to the side, and re-securing.
