Another masterpiece from Dan. A heavy metal singer sings "Nessum Dorma" and does it brilliantly.
It is remarkable that he sang the last part twice, which is not usual.
I sit back and enjoy the beauty of his music. His vocal abilities and presence are unique and fascinating at the same time.
Although Dan's mother tongue is Brazilian Portuguese, he mainly sings in English. He can also perform in Italian, Latin, German, Spanish and Japanese.

This was somewhat of a tribute to Dan's father, who was a big fan of Pavarotti & had passed away just a few months before he did this Nessun Dorma. The tears are real. I saw Pavarotti in concert in the early 90s & I was blown away last year when I discovered Dan had performed Nessun Dorma.
If you get a chance, check out his cover of Elvis' "American Trilogy," which Dan did less than a week after his Dad had passed away in honor of his father who also loved Elvis. Idk how he powered through that & did it so well.
Btw, Dan & his father also shared a love for Andrea Bocelli & Dan did a duet with Rhen Stillnight performing the Bocelli and Brightman song "Time to Say Goodbye." Enjoyed your reaction. 😊

From a non Opera trained vocalist Dan does a superb job. He is classically trained but not opera trained/experience. For non metal, the two covers to really watch for are Gethsemane from Jesus Christ Superstar and Music of the Night from Phantom of the Opera. Hail VascNation❤

Dan has one of the most beautiful and versatile voices I have ever heard - and I’m a lifelong opera lover. It’s not fair to compare him to Luciano because he’s not, and never intended to be, a professional opera singer. On the other hand, Pavarotti could never sing Burn Butcher Burn! Thanks for reacting! What a beautiful voice and a perfect presentation! Pavarotti is a great artist and a legend, but I prefer the rich full voice from Dan Vasc. No one, for me, can beat Pavarotti in Nessun dorma, but for a metal singer who is not an opera singer. - he beat everyone singing this song.
Just wait till you hear O’Holy Knight and My heat will go on. When his voice really go into your heart. My god I love this guy. He has taken me on one years journey in music that actually are more painkiller for my sick body than any pills could do, because the joy he brings to my heart.

His cover of Music of the Night from Phantom of the Opera or even better Gethsemane from Jesus Christ Superstar are completely mesmerizing. if they don't touch you, you must be dead.

Pavarotti lived, ate and breathed in his opera and he was magnificent. Dan Vasc, as the complete and excellent performer that he is on all genre's, sang this song with all his heart and soul and with tears in his eyes reflecting the emotion he is experiencing. The two can't be compared because each one is magnificent in the space and time each one occupied. Hail Pavarotti! Hail Dan Vasc! And Hail, you, ITN!

Beautiful! I have said this many times, Dan can sing in any genre with absolute perfection. Many thanks for another great reaction to the amazing Dan Vasc! Remember, Dan sang this in his garage, no high-tech recording studio and no professional orchestra. In my opinion, Dans voice is right up there with some of the best opera singers.

Good reaction. Dan was singing Opera with Modern techniques, while Pavaratti was singing it using Classical Opera techniques.
No one can compare to Pavarotti but he comes close and does such an amazing job with it. Absolutely love his rendition!!

Two things: One his cadence is slower than Pavarotti so much more demanding, and second Pavarotti coasts in parts and Vasc keeps the pressure on the entire time ..... plus he repeats the finale as a bonus.
