I attended "Saint" Xavier's high school in Vile Parle, and of course they never taught about this destruction by Christians. They think they can cover up the truth.
When I am next in Mumbai, I want to make sure to visit this temple, but also the cave temples at Kanheri, Jogeshwari Caves, and Mahakali Caves. Which are the best preserved, or well maintained? Is worship continuing at all of them? Which one would you recommend if I had time only to visit one? Happy to see that Mandapeshwar still have active worship and has not been turned into a museum, a dead cultural site, by ASI.
Enjoyed visiting this great site via yr video. I used to live in malad, came to school in borivali, heard of these caves and road, but never visited. I have been to elephanta, if you have not, please make one each for Canheri caves in borivali, jogeshwari and andheri caves and elephanta caves. I would love to revisit them, can not travel due to age. These ancient caves, temples of bharatita origin are gems that everyone should know and enjoy them.
Good to know that you have visited ancient place. Infact yesterday only I visited Jogeshwari caves and Mahakali caves . Thanks for your support. Please subscribe Hidden Gems of INDIA 🇮🇳 to get more updates 🙏
All that is fine! But, If you are so worried about Indian heritage, why are you entering a temple in western clothing?! I suggest saree or salwar, and dhoti for men, like it’s mandatory in several south temple!
they dont ever teach about these things in school. Har Har Mahadev 🙏

You can visit all these places. Elephanta caves which is situated in an island is worth visiting. Do read bit of history about it before visiting.
These should be included in todays history books and school curriculam.
