The Siege of Ganzir would have been the most batshit insane thing imaginable. No Hollywood movie could compete. It's like an endless army of horror movie characters going up against the remnants of humanity in the ultimate showdown. Lovecraftian Gods, unkillable creatures of pure malice, countless plagues and hordes of the undead, and 1000ft flesh teddy bears. Literally everything. No match for the indomitable human spirit.
@@tbotalpha8133 Damn. What would the refugees would be thinking? Would they be able to comprehend what is happening or would most of them have lost their mind at that point? Didn't the Church of the Broken God help out too? Guessing they would have had their own anomalies to utilize to their advantage. If it were ordinary non-Foundation-linked humans, they would have been dead within the first 48 hours. I think the ambiguity adds to the Siege of Ganzir adds a lot as you are left to imagine the sheer colossal scale of such a battle. Bloons TD on steroids. There are so many SCPs and hypothetical scenarios that could take place like an open sandbox. A game or film wouldn't do it justice, it's better left to the imagination. With all the other humans gone, 096 would eventually arrive at Ganzir. Would it be held in a magic frozen state or with constant gunfire to keep it at bay? It can jump to the moon with ease and tear through any known material, how do you even stop it? Or what about peanut? Wouldn't it phase through the force field? That's just two of them, that's disregarding the other 6,000+ SCPs out there.

@@F-22.A bit More explained: Scp 2399 "a malfunctioning destroyer" is a extraterrestrial machine that was first seen around the 1800's by an astronomer or something line that, after foundation's research and the journal of who discovered 2399, it was concluded that 2399 was slowing down after entering our solar system, but it crashed against one of jupiter's moon and couldn't escape jupiter's gravitational pull, then it fired it's weapons at jupiter, creating jupiter's giant red spot. Currently 2399 is trying to repair itself using drones to collect parts and resources. 2399 is by all means completely outside of our technological research, it has an unlimited energy supply, dark-matter based weapons and is basically crazy strong. For example a foundation satellite atacked one of 2399 drones... Now it is prohibited for satellites to engage with 2399. They have sended a lot of EMP's and nukes. Nothing. @@nikitakrim02 I don't think so, Foundation destroy SCP-2000 during their crusade against all humanity by blowing it up and trigger super volcano in the process. For those who don't know SCP-2000 is a subterranean Foundation installation originally constructed sometime in the last ███ years for the purpose of reconstructing civilization in the event that a K-Class end-of-the-world scenario could not be averted in time to prevent humanity's extinction or near-extinction. And yes Foundation destroy the fail safe of Humanity by blowing up the Yellowstone that house SCP-2000. Although SCP-2000 is not the only one fail safe to humanity but its the biggest one aside from 055-579 combo which happen in SCP-5000 scenario. "WE NEED BACKUP ASAP! AND DONT WORRY! SOME OF US DECIDED THAT KILLING EVERYONE ISN'T THE RIGHT ANSWER!" -Dr Sean with some of the few foundation scientists that decided to stay with humanity
The following is a message composed via consensus of the O5 Council. For those who are not currently aware of our existence, we represent the organization known as the SCP Foundation. Our previous mission centered around the containment and study of anomalous objects, entities and other assorted phenomena. This mission was the focus of our organization for more than one-hundred years. Due to circumstances outside of our control, this directive has now changed. Our new mission will be the extermination of the human race. There will be no further communication.
For everyone out of the loop let me explain. This takes place in the SCP universe where the SCP Foundation turns on humanity and unleashes an unrelenting genocide due to the maddening discovery of SCP-2718. SCP-2718 is essentially death, more specifically what happens after death. A revived 05 council member described it as an agonizing eternal suffering, and once you know of what happens after death, that becomes your fate. The Foundation wanted to exterminate humanity as to not let anyone experience this pain. Thats right, it was so bad that wiping out the human race was the best solution. Ganzir is the last stronghold for the UNGOC (SCP's version of the UN) and humanity, SCP-5000, SCP-055, and Pietro WIlson succesfully reseted the universe with SCP-579. Read about it in the SCP wiki entry SCP-5000. Yes, this is just a theory, but it is in my opinion the most reasonable explanation. And from what i've seen a pretty well accepted theory. Another theory is that SCP-5000 is a whole entity that exists within every human, and not just a suit. The information that "it" was in everyone drove the 05 mad and then the whole genocide thing happened.
Wait, wasn’t there also a parasite that was latched onto humanity that made them feel pain as well, while also being the cause of the shitty afterlife? I thought I knew the story, but I’m starting to think I don’t
By the way, Gunjir also appears in the SCP-CN-001 phage proposal, and according to it, the entire area of Gir is 60 square kilometers, which is the same size as Manhattan Island, and before the end of the world, the GOC will be the land of neighboring countries. He led the navy and shipping companies and evacuated more than 10 million people to Ganjir in a 24-hour social evacuation. By the way, the GOC seems to have 18 underwater cities.
I heard it was under the Atlantic Ocean, and if the SCP Foundation managed to conquer and destroy the Ganzir, this would end like the legend of Atlantis and fulfill it's story, destroyed by gods and sinked forever.
Ganzir showed that Humanity's will to survive is somewhat anomalous in within itself. How long did they last against the worse of the worse thrown at them?
@@monkigunfromhalo6653 Imo it survived albeit loosely. The only way "it" broke through is because one of the refugees was infected with some kind of mind-controlling SCP anomaly (could be dozens given how broad the criteria) that allowed the Foundation to infiltrate from within. Not by any external force itself. And even after that, they managed to reset the timeline before the whole of humanity was wiped out. If the Foundations objective was to wipe out all of humanity then Ganzir won. They lasted 4 weeks unscathed against the incomprehensible horrors of the universe through the power of the indomitable human spirit alone. Well, that and having the Biblical Able, advanced technology, and whatever other random anomalous bullshit they let loose to fight against the Foundations anomalous bullshit.
Imagine a game set in the SCP-5000 universe and one of the mission is you playing as a GOC soldier trying to defend Ganzir from Foundation Militaries and Anomalies alike while having the CI, COTBG, etc. as your ally.

@@UnwiseWordsyeah sure . . In the SCP 5000 canon, SCP 2718 is the afterlife for ALL humans(not the infohazard that it is in any other canon) so that entity or “IT” that the foundation is trying to kill causes all dead humans ti be conscious after death and feel unending years of suffering just as a food source. So if you consider fighting for the human spirit, which is an entity that feeds of your pain after death, then sure, but in personally taking the memetic agent the foundation made that freed them from IT and fighting to save the dead from their torment.
I really like the addition of various creature noises (like the realistic T-Rex sounds) showing that the foundation really was going all out with this extermination. Given this was the Global *Occult* Coalition, it probably wasn't just some guys with guns and bombs. It was probably some kind of badass wizard-legion, holding the Foundation's horrors at bay with all kinds of magical defences.
@@tbotalpha8133 I imagine that in a event like this everyone who is able to shoot a weapon would be forced to protect Ganzir, especially considering the sheer size of Ganzir and that its a continuous SIEGE by the foundation. So yeah, at the very least there's a guy defending the last bastion of humanity who's first contact with the supernatural was the declaration of war of the foundation

Depends on your cannon, if it’s 2718 then they are correct in what they were doing. It was the only way, not just for those who will die, but for the billions who already have. They were so close to finally ending their suffering, yet one man in a suit with something that wasn’t round slipped past them. And now all of humanity, past and future, will suffer for their failure.
@breadstick4458 I don't understand here. If SCP 5000 made the foundation aware of "it" and this caused humanity to feel pain as "it" is SCP 2718 how is destroying humanity the solution ? Not only is humanity as a whole not aware of the nature or even concept of SCP 2718, what sort of protection does death give, that's more important than their mission of the preservation of humanity ? How and why is the alternative worse ?
@@insidious7329 Have you read 2718? It’s one of the most existentially terrifying things I’ve ever read. TLDR: After death your mind remains trapped inside your corpse, unable to move it but still able to feel everything. That means you feel every second as your corpse decays, and as time passes as you get more and more spread out the pain worsens. You feel every part of your body even if your just dust in the air, and it’s agonising. The info hazard of 2718 is never confirmed, it could just be what happens after death. The tale “Disgusting” explains the foundations reasoning, they discover the entity in the human unconscious. They realise that 2718 is the fate of every human after death, and they can sense the agony of every human who ever died. This is what drives scp 682 to end humanity. The entity is responsible for 2718, it stops humans from dying and feeds on the pain it causes. But like any parasite, with nothing to feed on and without a host it will die. The foundation makes its inoculation, but it doesn’t work for everyone, and they come to their conclusion. Inoculate their staff, “Harden their hearts” then end humanity. Starve the entity and save all humans, past present and future, from a fate far far worse than death.

The song is a bop obviously but it’s also astonishingly apropos for this scenario. “Acting on your best behaviour / turn your back on Mother Nature”? “Help me make the most of freedom and of pleasure / nothing ever lasts forever”? If this song played over a sequence of this in a movie you could be forgiven for thinking it was written specifically for it.
Right?? I thought it fit perfectly! The chorus of the song is even 'everyone wants to rule the world', and putting /that/ over a time where humanity is literally trying to genocide itself with everything they got just fits.
I remember a short story, this song reminds me of that, the short story consisted of a leader of the city of ganzia being proud of the army watching the forces defend it. The SCP Foundation believed they were going to crush ganzir but what they didn't realize is the city would be teleported to a different dimension, none of the soldiers that were defending it could know, if they knew, they might relax in a moment of "your too late to stop me I already defended the city" and give up and relax, or worse be tortured abd give up the information in weakness and then the foundation would know what the game was. For a moment imagine you are a soldier defending Ganzir, your family exists within the anomalous walls, the last city of humanity, and SCP brings out a blinding light that burns out your eyes this is a sense of pain so horrific it doesn't just damage your body physically, but psychologically, being blinded hurts your soul, but yet that soldier fires his gun still in the direction he hears the enemy at, why, because he cares, it's for humanity, this is why one of the leaders of gansia in this short story was so proud, the men who could continue fighting with combat knives when they ran out of bullets, the men who continues to fire when their arms were ripped off, how far would you go for your loved ones or your fellow soldiers in the last defensive humanity, no matter how much your body or your soul hurt, how far could you really go, it's a good moral question. I don't know for sure if the short story I'm referencing was just a TH-cam comment or published on a website, please either send it to me. If nothing else though, in reference to that short story, this video might go on my workout playlist, because imagining myself on the front line as one of the soldiers defending humanity, a pretty fucking big testosterone boost, I will absolutely keep shooting no matter how much pain I'm in, for those I care for, if it comes down to the combat combat knife, so be it, and hell I hear the lizard likes a good fight, and if I win with a martial art bo staff against the lizard who the fuck is going to question my claim that hard work over time can genuinely make a master martial artist no matter how low your natural talent is, massive huge "if" sure but "if" I survive that encounter, who's going to argue my wish is for filled. Step forward the man to argue this song when you have read that short story is a bad workout theme to imagine you make your last and for the city, step forward and I shall points to you a liar. Would you be the soldier at the battle of Ganzia who just take one shot to the leg and submit, would you be the soldier who lost his eyes and an arm keep going or be less?
I don't think the foundation are the good guys, even if that something is controlling humanity and death is a mercy, i would still defend humanity to death, the Foundation's Motto "Secure Contain Protect", Bullcrap, they Unleashed every Contained SCP they had against humanity, instead of protecting humanity they wanted to kill it, and Secure? I don't know how anyone could think the current situation is secure. I'd rather be Human and Suffer then take the Cowards' way out

In the SCP Universe, the SCP Foundation (AKA "The Foundation") is a secret, private organization dedicated to Securing, Containing, and Protecting super-natural anomalies from the rest of the world. These anomalies range from a Zombie Virus to an un-killable lizard, to a statue that snaps your neck if you're not looking at it. These anomalies are called "SCP Objects", and are contained by The Foundation in order to protect the world from their harmful effects. However, in SCP-5000 (simply titled "Why?") the SCP foundation basically goes rogue. Something, some kind of Brain Virus (called a Cognito-Hazard, of which there are many) infects the entire Foundation. This brain virus forces the Foundation to flip-the-script, and instead of Protecting humanity, they are now trying to wipe it out, destroy humanity entirely. Part of the SCP-5000 lore is a Bunker called "Ganzir", built by the United Nations "Global Occult Coalition" (the UN-GOC is the United Nations' version of the SCP foundation, though not as effective). In the SCP-5000 Lore, the UN-GOC tries to evacuate everyone they can to Ganzir, to save and preserve as much of humanity as they can. The infected and psychotic SCP Foundation sees this as a threat to their new goal, and proceeds to weaponize as many of their contained anomalies as they can against Ganzir. They send monsters, zombies, a giant "leviathan", eldritch deities, everything they could. Through all of it, Ganzir somehow held off the attack for what we believe was months, possibly years. Unfortunately, though unconfirmed, Ganzir falls to the attack after members of one of the Mobile Task Forces (Mobile Task Forces, or MTFs, are like the SCP Foundation's military) get inside Ganzir and open the gates. Ganzir canonically falls in SCP-5000 lore. It's important to note that the "canon" of the SCP foundation is very loose. There are several different timelines, realities, possibilities, etc, and most people consider each SCP Anomaly to basically exist inside it's own canon.
The issue with reading up on Ganzir is that, as far as I can tell, it is ONLY mentioned in SCP 5000's story. This final bastion, the center of humanity and all we stand for, is only seen this one time. No images of it exist. No descriptions. SCP 5000 and it's story is great, if not the best SCP story out there. Just the mass hysteria and chaos that the Foundation unleashed, to the GOC, UIU, GRU-P, Chaos, and alot of other factions fighting against hordes and hordes of SCPs, is really great. I like that concept.
A bad ending if the entity got its way but considering how just reset before everything go shit hits the fan, it's similar to waiting for the sun to explode.
Maybe, but the Foundation were pretty batshit insane anyways. There's far more better ways to wipe out the entirety of humanity, and yet the Foundation chose the most horrific, twisted ways to do so.

It was the Global *Occult* Coalition. It wasn't just some dudes with guns and bombs. Ganzir was being held by a fucking wizard legion.
@@tbotalpha8133 Damn. What would the refugees would be thinking? Would they be able to comprehend what is happening or would most of them have lost their mind at that point? Watching from a camp, wizard soldiers fighting God-only-knows-what outside an impenetrable force field in an ancient city in the middle of the ocean you never even knew existed until a month ago.
That's just two of them, that's disregarding the other 6,000+ SCPs out there.
tbh it was holding - it fell from the inside if i am not wrong, when they brought in a walking dead inside who essencially spread a cognitohazard. And then the walls fell

However, the structure is too busy repairing itself, and extraterrestrial orders for it to disregard repairing, then head to presumably Earth were successfully prevented from reaching it by the Foundation.
@@F-22.A bit More explained:
Scp 2399 "a malfunctioning destroyer" is a extraterrestrial machine that was first seen around the 1800's by an astronomer or something line that, after foundation's research and the journal of who discovered 2399, it was concluded that 2399 was slowing down after entering our solar system, but it crashed against one of jupiter's moon and couldn't escape jupiter's gravitational pull, then it fired it's weapons at jupiter, creating jupiter's giant red spot.
Nothing.

You feel every part of your body even if your just dust in the air, and it’s agonising.
The info hazard of 2718 is never confirmed, it could just be what happens after death. The tale “Disgusting” explains the foundations reasoning, they discover the entity in the human unconscious. They realise that 2718 is the fate of every human after death, and they can sense the agony of every human who ever died. This is what drives scp 682 to end humanity.
The entity is responsible for 2718, it stops humans from dying and feeds on the pain it causes. But like any parasite, with nothing to feed on and without a host it will die. When the foundation becomes so afraid of anything alien that they are willing to give up their humanity and attempt to end mankind because they realize that all of the things that make us not meat robots were given to us by gods 250,000 years ago.
Damn, it's almost like "It" has a horrible plan for humanity that will result in a horrible fate for humanity.
Sure fighting for humanity and got nothing to lose? I'm in
By the time you lose your eyesight in battle, you're dead already, better to go out with a blast instead of a whimper
The first line goes so hard in this scenario
I just found out that the foundation are the good guys, and they are doing this because SCP-5000 causes SCP-2718
I'd rather be Human and Suffer then take the Cowards' way out
That’s a common headcannon and one I like a lot. It makes the battle of Ganzir so much more melancholic, they died believing they were protecting humanity, but only helped the entity behind 2718
@@breadstick4458the fact that it causes scp 2718 has been canonised by the tale “Disgusting”
@@Randomalpharius- remember it’s scp, there is no cannon. Scp 5000 works best when it’s left semi-ambiguous imo, but I really like the 2718 interpretation

The GOC was EXTREMELY powerful. They litteraly had cyber tech and anomalies in alot of their equipment and such, etc. Not counting the other GOIs which are fully helping. GOC wouldve won in this battle if it wasnt for the Foundations plot armor.
The goc military didn't know that the foundation were gonna attack probably half or at least 30% of their force were wiped out in 3 days or a week manpower and technological might is nothing without logistics and the foundation were using scps to confuse millions leading to the goc being to spread thin initially along with unkillable and unstoppable entities at the foundations disposal the goc had its own but they weren't as powerful and world governments were ruined the goc did not have a chance and when the foundation told the world they exterminating them they had been attacking for around I think a few hours so yes the goc no matter what had no chance of victory also ganzir not falling to unstoppable and unkillable entities is literally plot armour
Well, humanity technically won in the end, right?
I dont really think they would have survived the foundation anomaly wise has a lot of them all they have to do is direct them towards the city like legit SCP 682 was fighting on the foundation's side apparently whatever made them disgusting was the entity the foundation discovered in the human psychospace
@@flyingspinners1 Able was mentioned to be helping the Coalition, not to mention there would be many anomalies assisting the Coalition. Its not like the GOC is utterly defensless against 682, if the Foundation which is weaker can contain 682, so can the GOC
@@Idiocyguy If the Foundation is siding with 2 deities which want to make humanity their servant or just kill them (Scarlet King and Constellation Starfish), humanity wouldn't have won.
That every scream in this vidoe is horrifying and teryfying and scary asf
In this scenario, i would either fight to the death knowing I would lose or take myself out depending on the SCP
TBH it should have not been "For France" but "FOR HUMANITY"!

Would you say it would also be the end of empathy and compassion?
I ask this mostly because I feel that a common link between feeling pain and feeling empathy for another is a thing, but I’m not too sure
lol
@@WishBone-ht2mx I heard a theory basically it says that to feel pain is like feeling empathy for yourself anyways people aren't supposed to feel anything at all just cold machines and etc the emotions were added in by the creature thing
Judging from the medieval architecture in the background, I’d guess that this takes place in Hy Bresil, Avalon, or Camelot, all of which are extra-dimensional locations, two of which are under the aegis of the GOC, and all of which are mostly medieval

Its a city/base? that is mentioned in SCP-5000, and its essentially, from what I remember, Humanity's last stand against the SCP-Foundation and a bunch of extremely hostile SCP's. Ultimately I think the base/city falls, but its been forever since Ive read up on the SCP, so I might be off on some things.
Also when I mean last stand, I mean it in a sense of : Its the last of mankind after billions upon billions have died and they may be all thats left.
@@LordRndomits a City Fortress of one of the many subfactions of the SCP world in the middle of an ocean? I believe and i think its the main headquarter of the GoC which is a branch of the UN dealing in Paranormal activity, namely exterminating them.
In the event of SCP-5000 Ganzir was the main battlefront of both the SCP Fondation and litteraly every other factions in a giant coalition to protect humanity, the only Fortress that managed to hold back the foundation, its the battle that lasted the longest as everyone threw in everything to destroy or protect it, however, due to more or less unexplained circonstances the city ended up falling, some say it held less than 5 minute against the full might of the foundation, others say its a long siege that held for terribly long until a problem from within caused the main defances to fall and thus the rest ended up following.
Point is it fell and with it the main organisation of Humanities protector the GOC fell.
That doesnt mean there was no one left alive ultimately SCP-5000's story continue afterward and humanity was not yet extinct some pockets still resisted the GoC while headless still had forces in some area and humanity kept fighting, and by the time of the end, Humanity didnt fully die yet, it was only a matter of time however as without the main fortress Humanity was doomed to die eventually
Its a Base In The Universe Of SCP-5000, built by UNGOC, used as the last stronghold of humanity
The issue with reading up on Ganzir is that, as far as I can tell, it is ONLY mentioned in SCP 5000's story. This final bastion, the center of humanity and all we stand for, is only seen this one time. No images of it exist. No descriptions. It is just this giant building that is everything all of humanity can fight for.
no ideologies, no race,
only freedom, long live humanity🔥
I have not idea what Ganzir is, but i feel sorry for the blue soldier. Stay strong!

Personally I don't like it
Because the GOC and all the others were in the wrong here
And SCP was right
The scariest part of the story was that the omnicide failing was the *bad* ending, and SCP-682 was right.
Being the last man alive as far as you know... and your comfort on the way out is SCP 1471, who sits by you as the world ends.
Ironically, resetting the timeline and essentially stopping the SCP Foundation from eradicating humanity in SCP-5000 is considered a bad ending.
