    This review is hilarious ... everything you mention as negatives, are in fact all positives.

    The rotar sound... Louder the cheaper feeling.... Crown winding the smoother the more refined....... You got a few things twisted...

    My wife bought this for me coming back from our wedding in Jamaica in gold with a brown strap. The lightness and no rattling are positives to me. I wanted it as a dress watch but it's so comfortable I end up wearing it everyday. Surprised you don't like it.

    Thanks for your review. I was considering this watch as I’m looking for that old retro style with Roman numerals. The looks are perfect, but the size looks too big. I’m also 7” wrist, and if it were a pilot, diver, or sporty watch the size is fine. But for the classic retro dress watch I’d prefer smaller too.

    The silent rotor is an advantage.

    Bambino designs might look good on 66 years old retired man. And you are comparing between Tissot and Omega at the end lol. Why didn't you compare Tissot and Rolex instead?

      Omega isn’t that much better as you may believe. For me Tissot please.

    Thanks for the review. Unpopular opinion but I respect your assessment. It does appear to sit higher on the wrist which is a no-go for me.

    This is a wonderful looking watch. I just wish it came in 38mm.

    Great review. Well done. My only gripe, albeit it small, is your lack of research on the significance of the small town in Switzerland called Le Locle. As you are a watch review, I would have expected you to speak on why this watch is called Le Locle, considering that this small town is at the centre of Swiss watchmaking.

    I am very confused about seconds accuracy...it will be impossible to set exactly the accuracy of the seconds as it isnt a hacking watch...right?

    Thanks for your review, I was considering this watch purely by the looks, but seeing you describe the feel of it, I think I'll give it a miss...The bambino is quality!

    • @olaf2046
      @olaf2046  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah the Tissot is not a bad watch but at the end of the day in the sub $500 price arena it was not exciting as the scores of other watches you can buy. For me with it's broad monotonous face, quiet rotor, binary color scheme and cliche font the Tissot was a boring watch whiles the Bambino with its dazzling domed crystal, multiple color options, mix of classic (chapter ring) and modern cues (roman numerals) was a more exciting watch to wear. Heck I'm taking off my Omega Speedmaster to wear my Tissot LeLocle said no one ever! The Tissot will run you at the $500 mark (less if you know how to shop) but the Bambino is a much better value at the $100 to $300 price point. At the end of the day if I had $500 to spend on a watch I would easily buy two Bambinos over one LeLocle. I get a lot of slack for even making this video putting down the beloved LeLocle but I feel my reaction and my time with my LeLocle has produced a most honest review compared to the swiss snobs and fan boys who put EVERYTHING Swiss made over the quality pieces you can buy out of Japan, Germany and (yes) China. Heck Invicta watches are and have always been Swiss Made but I would take a Chinese Seagull over an Invicta any day of the week.

      @@olaf2046 In my opinion, the quiet rotor is a nice plus for me. The higher beat rate looks very nice, and smoother winding is usually not preferred over a quality feedback, which has resistance but not too much, and is smooth enough to wind easily. The sapphire crystal blows mineral out of the water. I do agree that most Bambinos look nicer, but about the weight of the watch, the Tissot is supposed to weigh like that. I think maybe the problem is you don't like its "classical" dress design, with the guilloche and monotone design, compared to the "modern" dress design of the Bambino with its cleaner design.

    Sell the lot and buy a Rolex. You won’t find anything cheap and nasty with a Rolex and it’ll be a lifetime of satisfaction. The Tissot has a nice vintage dress watch vibe. Maybe that’s not your thing.
