Love the videos. Thanks for all the content. How are the zippers on the backpacks? I’m sure the zippers themselves are stout. I’m wondering from a water resistant point of view. For example if you’re walking and it starts to downpour, will the contents inside get soaked or does it have any resistance?

I know they been out of stock for a while and I just picked up a S.O.C.P Fanny pack and then I get a text from Vertx saying they have the Long walks waist pack lol if only I would have waited but maybe in the future a comparison video of the two?!

I really like the new line and how Vertx has gone more towards "normal" backpacks for just everyday stuff. The big waterbottle pockets on the Long Walk 28 liter is great!

Not difficult at all. Those loops just connect through and reattach to the waistpack.

Damn, you slid your iPhone right in the shoulder harness pocket! I have the iPhone Pro Max and it doesn’t come remotely close to fitting in that pocket. That was one of the big features I was looking forward to. Still gonna keep it but that’s a bit of a bummer.

Sounds like you should have gone with the EDC ready pack. They are thicker and kinda stand up when packed out properly.

I bought the new fanny pack the week it came out, and immediately sent it back. I wasn't thrilled with the material, how the zippers hung up on the extra material, buckle in the back, not the side. The sown in vertx handle was a waste of material.

These bags are really cool, but most of these manufacturers don’t ever consider big dudes, or let’s be honest, big, burly, or straight up fat dudes. Every bag I’ve bought for me, the straps are maxed out, and really tight on my body. Is there a manufacturer that makes big boy straps. We want to be comfortable and tactical too!

These are to compensate for the failure of the 3.0 line, stupid prices for less organization than the 2.0 just so they can sell you the organization back as velcro accessories. With these they're cheap enough due to their material and organization downgrade to where the accessories bring it back up to the 3.0 bags. Obviously you get paid to push their gear, but the brand has definitely gone down hill.
