Chances are if the roll count is that low, the clock was rolled back. It’s very easy to do. But! I have one of these and it’s so fucking good. I love It. You’re gonna have a good time with It!
@@reyrey5250 I still can't decide which I like better. I bought the wide first thinking landscapes and architecture but find I most enjoy shooting smaller details of the same subjects so the more normal perspective is probably a better choice. I bought both at very reasonable prices, $400-$500 so can afford to keep both for now. I have not posted photos from either at this point though
Lol I went the exact opposite route you did. Mine has had 463 rolls put through it, its covered in scratches, and was broken. I did only spend $270 though which is an insane deal. Excited to use it soon just gotta pick up a bolt to put in it and she'll be ready to go!
$270 is a swell deal. Mine is already getting scratched up, but I guess there's something to be said for self inflicted lol. I read somewhere that these used to be used for amusement park family photos because they would shoot 100-500 rolls a day and as long as they got them serviced every couple of months they'd last forever.
@@AlexCCarter Yeah I heard they were also sometimes used for school group photos. Mine is at 463 rolls, but who knows how many more could have been put through it.
@@kadenb816 mine shows 373, but I got mine in good condition for $120 from a FBM seller. All I had to do was remove the top, reattach the frame count window and clean the finder. I love it!
Looks mint Alex 👍🏻. Where can I find a porch like that 😀 sadly they are few and far between here in Scotland. The porch that is 😀 looking forward to seeing how you get on with the Fuji
Definitely in good shape. Haha we got extremely lucky to find it, not many in America these days either. The house was built just over a century ago, so the large stone porch was a must back then. What part of Scotland? I feel like I'd take that landscape over Nebraska any day of the week
@@AlexCCarter The light you seem to get inside the house looks wonderful as well. I'm south of Edinburgh and fairly rural in the Scottish Borders (not a great deal of opportunity for street photography), though, as my daughter is starting university next year, thinking of moving back to be closer to my family down in Pembrokeshire Wales - another lovely part of the country. Enjoy the Fuji!
Interested to hear if anyone has any experience with this camera/ what your thoughts are.
I bought two of these in 1987 for a book project. Very dependable cameras with stellar glass.
You can only fire the shutter if there is film inside or if you have the door open.

I have both the GW690 and the wide angle GSW690. Great optics, huge negatives.
Just got back the first set of scans and wow.. the amount of detail is pretty wild
@anthony which camera do you prefer out of the 2? @alex do you have social media where we can see the images?
