In the two weeks since you wrote this, more than 1600 people have been killed by guns in America...and over 3000 injured. None were killed by bears, Canada remains safe. 🤦♂️

I'm a member of the American Wild Horse Conservation organization and wild horses are round up several times a year in the US and there's about 60,000 being held in pens throughout the country. Fascinating story, so very sad and I wish I could do more. I'd like to see our society really embrace caring for all of them and using them! Thanks to FlyingL Ranch for caring for these little fellas!

But its ok for the bear to go hungry. Nobody should interfere with nature and natural selection unless the livestock is already domesticated and owned. Protecting the weak breeds weaker DNA. Only the strong survive. Mother nature has a plan and we should not be playing God.
If he's out protecting them with a rifle against natural predators then they are not "wild" animals but livestock he views as his property. They are domestic horses living on his property and he "owns" them, whether it is legal ownership or otherwise and he has assumed responsibility for their safety and welfare.

This was an absolutely Great & beautiful video illustrating the ways of life on a Ranch or rural property. Where one has too be vigilant not only for their livestock & property. But they also have too be aware of the Wildlife around them & the close proximity of the other people's well being as well. His vigilance about the Bear's attitude or it's mere curious nature was very evident along with his awareness about adjacent property in the immediate area. I have been in that not today bear position in Colorado back in the late 70s when I grew up there. Lived in Black Forest,bears were rare,but they are almost human smart and never to be underestimated. But they quickly understand what a rifle is,that's for sure.

Yes, these are wild horses however they are Local rescue wild horses that were brought to our ranch to heal and such. Therefore it is our responsibility to protect them and keep them safe. Have a nice day

Can I suggest that your camera person hold the phone in the proper orientation for a video. This isn’t TikTok and that vertical frame makes the outcome hard to watch as it eliminated 2/3 of my TV screen and reduced the size and clarity of the video by 66%.

They are wild horses which have been rescued for various reasons and are now living on our ranch. We live in a very remote valley of British Columbia, Canada and there are wild horses all around the ranch in the valley and surrounding wilderness. Since they are on the ranch then it is our duty to protect them and watch over them. Have a great day

@@africanjew1596 No, they don’t. Bears are omivorous and can eat just about anything. They even graze (a lot) on grass, just like cattle.
