Krillin has spent the entire series punching above his weight class in both the literal and metaphoric sense.

He legit saved the world twice, just not how everyone thinks so he is a fraud. Not a bad person like some people treat him, it's often portrayed like he only selfishly steals glory. Honestly he kind of even provides a means for the Z fighters to remain relatively anonymous.

I actually don't remember if the Z warriors were in agreement to let him be the hero so they wouldn't attract too much attention, or if that was a DBZA thing...

Yeah, it's not some kind of agreement that he made out of good nature. He just happens to soak up the attention and the Z fighters happen to sort of benefit from it. If any Z fighter wanted to be a famous public figure they could achieve it easily in a similar way Yamcha did, they seem to just prefer to stay on the dl.
I didn't say that to be like "oh look how good of a person he is." he benifits from this. Just wanted to point out he serves a LOT more utility in both the narrative and the Z fighters lives than people give him credit for. But the commuinity usually only focuses on his character flaws.

@@RickRodGaming JP Piccolo refers to Goku by his surname "Son". Bulma does the same thing but adds "-kun" to it. In Chi-Chi's I think she's saying "Goku-san" but with an accent? Not too familiar with JP dialects but her way speaking is distinct compared to say Bulma and Videl.
Stopping to think about it... Chi-Chi and Goku are the best Hillibilly couple from anime.

The game actually shows a possible portrayal of how Goten was conceived, with Goku and Chichi spending some days traveling before Cell games started, Gohan decided to not go with them because he thought their parents needed some time together after all those years lol
Then he went to Bulma to help fixing 16 and bonding a little with him, making his eventual death more meaningful for Gohan.
Yeah, I thought that was pretty well done; bonus development for two different things at once
Also those 10 days of relaxation are also in the manga just off-screen for the most part.

Not really cyborgs either since they are almost entirely organic. Gero replaced their bodies with super bio-engineered parts not mechanical.

For those who don't know, there was a side quest (that I guess pekora missed) that ended with Gohan deciding to sleepover at Bulma's place. It's implied that's how Goten came about.

When I first saw Krillin and 18 having a child decades ago, I reacted normally but when I rewatched it again when I was older and realized Krillin named his daughter after his ex, I was like "Damn!".
Maron (the ex) isn't manga canon but she is with the anime.
That makes me wonder, did the Toriyama name the daughter after the ex from the anime filler, or did the anime name the ex after the daughter from the manga?
Different names and 18 even gets upset at some of the other characters when they say Marron's name wrong, though that might also be anime only. Krillin's non-canon ex was Maron while his and 18's daughter is Marron (マロン vs マーロン).

@@this.is.k Nah, it's just that in Japanese, that name paired with Krillin makes for a pun, so both Toei (for the temp girlfriend) and Toriyama (for the daughter) independently of each other thought of the same pun when coming up with the name. Even so, the name is spelled slightly different between the two.
3:37 That's one thing (among many, many things) that has to be basically be overlooked by everyone in-universe, in that there's seemingly no downside to being an android. You have unlimited stamina, base power that surpassed that of SSJ1s like Goku, Future Trunks, and Vegeta who would've be able to clown on Namek-era Frieza. You can still train and grow way stronger, and can even still have kids. Also, neither 17 or 18 have aged much if at all since their debuts.

As someone who's only seen DBZ dubbed into English, I will never get used to Krillin and Gohan both still sort of sounding like kids with the latter being an older teen by this point and Krillin is a DAD, it's honestly rather uncanny. I'm aware Goku sounds weird like that, too.

With Marron you kinda get it cus we did see that Krillin had it bad for 18 and 18 herself went tsundere with him at the end of the cell saga. So them marrying and having a child together out of the blue feels like "well, it does make sense".
Yet, that still doesn't feel half as shocking as finding out that ChiChi gave birth to Goten cus no matter what the idea of Goku being that intimate and carnal with ChiChi feels buggy lmao. Like you really gonna tell me that Goku wanted to have at least ONE last (and rare) intimate moment with his wife before a battle he knew that was gonna be risky? Sounds too good to be true no matter what lol.
Like Pekora said, there is really no indicator or foreshadowing that even lets you think about the possibility of such a thing during cell saga. Toriyama just grabs your ass and tosses it 7 years into the future and BAM 2nd child.
To be fair Goku made a big deal of spending 6 of the 9 remaining days relaxing with his family, having picnics and such. It definitely would make sense that he could have an intimate moment with Chichi, especially before this really big battle. The page where he leaves the house before going to the Cell game kind of implies that too.

But it kinda works, you can see Goku and Chichi spent time together. I'll answer her questions here for Goten he was made roughly just before the fight with perfect Cell as for Krillin and Marron, Krillin has always had hair he just kept shaving it due to his monk upbringing, and Marron was roughly made near the end of Cell saga and the beginning of the Buu saga

Yeah, Krillin shaved his head when he was younger. He explicitly says so during his initial training with Goku under Roshi, emulating Roshi and his previous masters. He was suprised to find out that Roshi was just naturally bald.
