    I’ve been hearing nice things about Serperior lately. Having the ability contrary with leaf storm is always good, but it’s got dual screens and outspeeds Maushold and can paralyze it with a 100% accurate glare that can also paralyze fast ground types like excadrill

      Yeh serperior is looking good as well! I know a few players did really well with it in the grand challenge too.

    Funnily enough, I've been bringing a tailwind Corviknight into rain pretty consistently, and it's been very helpful. Using Tyranitar as a tailwind abuser also helps disrupt a lot of their plans and work towards winning end games. It's more than a little sketchy, but a lot of rain players look at the matchup and assume it's going to be an autopilot win when it's not.
    Not that either of those mons are even on the team to help with the rain matchup, but it's a happy little accident.

      Yeh sand + corv I can see getting stuff going vs rain. Probably still not the plan vs rain, as you mentioned, but if it works it works

      @@SableyeVGC It definitely preys on the opponent's inexperience in the matchup. I think that Tyranitar is admittedly bit of a teambuilding trap right now; a lot of people try just splashing it in as an anti-weather, but it can't be only that. I'm only using it because I like teams that disrupt my opponents and take them out of prep, and it is very effective at that. Though I will say that the mon makes me try a lot harder than other stuff I've tried.

    I've been a barraskewda believer since last format. I used a swift swim throat chop choice band set as a calyrex shadow counter

    I've been trying to figure out a niche for Tinkaton this format. I know helping hand with Gholdengo is an interesting use, but I haven't been able to figure out a team to complement it.
    I've tried looking for sludge wave users as a shoutout to the Eternatus concept in Reg G, but substitutes like Gengar, Glimmora, or even Weezing just didn't feel right.
    I even looked into an offensive SD set but I couldn't find matchups where that would really do much.

    barraskewda + a cloud nine user seems interesting to avoid basculegion or lillikoal. I can't think of any users though other than golduck and altaria

    I’d love your take on Yanmega, kinda the Special Attack version of Blaziken in some ways - feels like there’s potential

      Yanmega is interesting. I haven’t really considered it, but I know there was someone who brought it to one of my local tournaments. So maybe there is something there!

    Been using Corv since the start of the format. Lot of success playing him as a support who can flip the script and go on offence. Brave Bird + Bulk Up makes up for his attack stat and then TW + Taunt are great for support. Great into Trick Room/psy-spam or matching TW. He’s often ignored and that’s when Bulk Up shines.

    Going through the calcs now, i was using liqudation samurott the entire time when razor shell was always better because sharpness works on razer shell (making it do more dmg than liq) and not liquid while razor gives a good debuff

    Got a Corviknight with iron def, body press, brave bird, roost. Took me straight to master ball. Would win games on its back

    Corviknight is so good on paper but I always feel like it needs 2 or 3 extra moves to be great. I have a hard time making it fit in a team.

    These are all interesting suggestions, with no salty spoilers on some of the more niche ones.
    I do want to mention that I believe Loaded Dice does not boost Triple Axel. I’m pretty confident that each hit has its own accuracy check, which would mean that Wide Lens is necessary to get the accuracy.
    I remember Santi used Wide Lens on his 2021 Players Cup Weavile for that reason.

    • @SableyeVGC
      @SableyeVGC  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Loaded dice will force all three hits to connect, this is know for sure, in the case of Santi’s decision, the math gets a little weird. Wide lens gives more damage over a consistent time, so for example 90% to get a 20+40+60 (120) vs 3 99% to get a 20,40,60 so technically you are more likely to get all three hits consistently with wide lens thus giving more power, however since we are also capitalizing on the bullet seed consistency boost, we’d have to run the math on the damage over time there, which would be 100bp 50% and 125bp the other 50% of the time vs a 120bp move 93.5% of the time.
      So basically since Santi capitalized only from triple axel, wide lens was better. On the tsareena set the with both axel and bullet seed loaded dice has more of a case to be made for it. In terms of actually figuring out the math, I am lazy, but I’m sure the difference in the numbers is minimal and I also enjoy having a 100% grass move that also gets around sashes

      @simplynumba1 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@SableyeVGC I just checked and you are correct about Loaded Dice. That’s a weird mechanic, but it’s good to know how it works with Triple Axel!
