      The family is so delusional, and have no right to speak on behalf of Brenda, just because they want to safe the family name from the stench that Sydney brought to it. Yes, Brenda loved Sydney, but I bet, when the frying pan was bashing her brains out, she hated that child, and I believe she shouted: "Get out!" a sentence that Sydney afterwards used as a demand from her mother, when the window broke. She suffers from schizophrenia, and three of the four psychologists agreed that she'd suffered a psychotic break. Someone in the midst of psychosis can't calculate anything and is not inhabiting reality. She was temporarily insane and hence should be in a mental institution, not a prison. Realizing this requires a certain amount of objectivity, which has never been Americans' strong suit. Sadly, there is no possibility of justice without objectivity.

You could just as easily note that the prosecution's psychologist was paid, but that too would be a meaningless statement. A more logical statement would be that they wouldn't be on the stand if they didn't happen to hold a view that was consistent with what the defense was arguing. There is no evidence that any of these psychologists were mere puppets. A psychologist is a psychologist, so unless someone proves that those three are disreputable in some way, I am inclined to trust the majority opinion. Frankly, I find it worrisome that the prosecution could only come up with one psychologist to verify their claims about this woman's state of mind.

    Sob story about what the family wants when justice is owed to the true victim: Brenda Powell. Tired of the implication that Sydney Powell is a victim. Guess who gets to decide justice: the jury. Despite the Powell and family attempts to sway justice, the prosecution represented Brenda Powell, and the jury made the call. Seeing an interview with Julie Grant siding with the defense over the case: a jury decided and you lost. Shame on you Julie Grant. Shame on you, defense attorney for maligning the prosecutor. He owed it to the victim not your client. The jury decided. Stop acting like a baby. I wonder if you and the prosecutor will be able to work together in the future, the way you are calling him names and criticizing his character.

      Well said. The defence lawyers statement was appalling especially after his own unprofessional behaviour in telling his client he loved her in court. Julie Grants siding with him was equally as appalling! Even the judge’s sentencing was a disgrace. She was treating Sydney like a fragile little child and practically apologising to her for sentencing her at all. I have never in all my years seen so much sympathy and pandering to a cold blooded murderer before, especially considering how heinous the crime was. Shameful 😳

    I too wonder if Sidney was a male child whether the sentence would have been the same or more severe. As it is though, this is the best her lawyers could have hoped for. If the appeal is upheld, perhaps the sentence might end up being longer the second time round. It wouldn’t be the first time. One can hope.

      @Punnoosia ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, you learn something. 18 year olds are adults in Ohio. They are not children. 18 and older is an adult by law, period. The only reason she got the sentence she did is because the charge was murder instead of aggravated murder. "Murder" in Ohio is no premeditation. "Aggravated murder" is with premeditation and/or committed along with another serious felony.
      They are both unclassified felonies in Ohio, but Sydney was charged with what most would call "second-degree murder".
      15 to life is THE STANDARD for her charge. You posted that junk about teens and the law all over this video.
