    This video was shot before direction running was put into place. Today CN switches to CP track after crossing the Mission Bridge. Awesome video.

    Thanks for the tour Bob. I hired on braking out of Kamloops in 1970 and worked theAshcroft sub quite often. Caught the last of the ABS and train orders before CTC wentin. Watching your trip brought back a lot of good memories. Thanks so much!

    Kabhop, You do an excellent job with this video story about the freight run from Vancouver to Kamloops. Your love and knowledge of the rivers and RR is refreshing and helpful. Unlike some of the egotistical train hoppers (show-offs), you care and it shows.

    Really great video. You showed us some sights I've long glimpsed from the highway but never have seen up close.

    I took this trip twice, once in 2009 and again in 2012, but the stories you shared on this third trip beat the first two by far!

    Thanks Bob. This reminds me of many fond memories. I did put this video on Facebook with the following comment "Scenes from a great national treasure, once called Canadian National Railways, then property of the Federal Government, and often affectionately called "The People's Railway", now simply known as investor-owned CN"... Oshawa, Ontario. 2020/01/24.

    Great trip, thank you for taking me along.. I had a wonderful time!! Do you ever travel to Edmonton via Jasper??

    • @kabhop
      @kabhop  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I worked out of Jasper for five years between Edson Alberta and Blue River BC, but I worked 'work trains' all the way east to Edmonton and west to Kamloops.
