Good morning and happy Friday! As of today, Nissan has still not released final pricing and fuel economy but towing and payload capacities for the 2020 Titan were announced... Max towing is 9,370 for a King Cab 2WD and 1,680 for payload on the same trim. The chart we posted during the under the hood scene with the spec numbers are relating to a 2020 Titan XD. Nissan says final pricing numbers should become available closer to the on-sale date early next year. We also spoke with an engineer at the media drive and he did confirm the new 9-speed transmission is a Jatco designed unit with significantly upgraded internals for durability and much closer spaced gear ratios for improved acceleration, especially during towing.

If they slapped a Ford badge on this thing they would sell out instantly. Still one of the biggest selling points for the Titan was missed in this review...the best warranty in the business. Nissan has got to figure out a way to better market that warranty if they are going to have a chance against the big three. Maybe they could say, hey if you're going to have a $everal year loan on your truck, wouldn't you like to have our warranty along with it? Nice vid Sofyan!

It’s beautiful. A return to a more conventional styling model. Refreshing to see another manufacturer apply more focus to what customers have been asking for, vs “this is what we offer, we don’t care if it is a POS, take it or leave it!” Overall very impressive, but I’m still disappointed with what came with the Renault partnership. I’d wager $100 that was the source of “cvt, cvt, cvt”we have been seeing of late. Thanks for another great review.

Rented a Nissan Titan (2019) for a trip from Michigan to Louisiana and back over Christmas. We got an average of 22 mpg on the whole trip. Drove very nicely ( I drive a tiny hatchback but had no issue driving the truck), lots of cabin room, controls easy to find and use and drove well during night time driving. That screen in the dash was on the truck as well. The only thing I would complain about was the short bed and no running boards.

If you're spending $60k+ for a 1/2 ton truck, most people 'will not' be spending it at the Nissan dealership. Case in point, the Frontier sells well for Nissan and is ancient in design. However, its also the absolute hands down value king of the segment. Nissan trucks as a whole will sell, or they won't, based on price. And at $60k+, my bet is they won't.

Nice video, I enjoy watching the in depth reviews on the vehicle that most middle class people could afford. Although I am a Ford guy at heart, this truck has striked my interest. Even the older body style I liked. When they redesigned in 2016 I was definitely considering buying over the F150. I haven't made my decision yet as to what I'll buy, but these trucks have gotten more expensive but also nicer in Quality. it's a tough market to compete for sure! The Nissan is a great investment for value from my perspective. Now that they did a slight refresh it's making my decision a little harder haha. Thank you for the in depth review on this truck. Keep up the good work. I've been watching your videos since 2013 and the content is great!

I have a 2018 pro 4X. The interior and exterior design blows Ford and Chevy away. Gas mileage not good and I’m having paint chip issues on the hood and interior issues on roof support beam cover separating. Still at the price it was a steal.

I really like this new titan. Coming from a 2016 f150 with the horrible 5.0 which is suffering from the dreaded knock that so many are plagued with, cant wait to get into one of these. They also have a 160k bumper to bumper warranty!

If I was in the market for a full size truck, this Titan would be at the top of my list, partly because I'm brand loyal, and driving these at work makes me realize how much I like the Titan, which I never said about the first gen Titan, although they are good trucks too.

    3. 2019-2020 Ram 1500

You are the FIRST person to review this truck and state the fact that..Yes topped out it is a $60,000 truck, but any of the other big 3 are going for $60 - $70,000 + range in the same trim level...you get a little more in different areas in different makes, but in my mind, what they offer for the extra cost isn't even worth a full $60,000 much less 70+ . We're talking a battle of inches in the differences of the trucks at that point. My truck is a tool, plain and simple. Without it, I can't work. Looking at it in those terms, I'll take the less expensive 5 year 100,000 mile warranty and cry about the lack of a heated rear seat after mine is paid off and I'm still driving it...

Looks very well done. Individualized, even, instead of shameless copying (see also: German brands up until recently) - wish they should have done this from the get-go. Despite upper management turmoil, Nissan still can build a good vehicle. Listen to your customers, they are the sole reason you exist. (Profit is a valid arguement, except who pays to produce a profit? People who find your product desirable). The new headlight clusters and infotainment look fantastic.

Man I wish the lease prices on these were just as good as the big 3’s trucks, because working at a Nissan dealership I can confirm the Titan is best in comfort if you just want a city truck (unless you’re talking a f150 limited) the seats are really comfy and I could drive it for hours and not get my legs cramped up like in my dad’s Ram 3500
Plus I love how in Detroit you rarely see these and I like having a car/truck that you don’t see all the time

At first, I thought the new base price for the Titan was insane, but when you realize that it comes with no less than a king cab and comes standard with a v8 engine, the reality is that its price is right in the ballpark with the competition. A bare-bones stock Nissan Titan S King cab, 4x2, 6.5' bed with only the class-4 hitch added comes out to $38,235 base MSRP. By comparison, the Ford F-150, currently the segment leader in sales, when similarly equipped (base XL model, super cab, 4x2, 6.5' bed, v8 engine with a class-4 hitch) comes in at $36,965. Yes, the Titan is still $1,270 more expensive but it makes a fair argument for that price-gap with 5 more horsepower, 13 more lbft of torque, 170 more lbs of towing capacity, a damped tailgate, 2.8 more inches of touchscreen, pushbutton start, and standard cruise control. The F-150 boasts 1 more combined mpg, 2 more cupholders, slightly greater head and legroom, and 640 more lbs of payload, by comparison. Both come standard with black grille and bumpers, column shifters with manual and tow/haul buttons, auto high beams, cloth seats, seating for up to 6, and vinyl flooring. So while the Titan isn't priced out of the market, I don't know that it offers enough bang for the buck to convince other half-ton shoppers to seriously consider switching to the Titan. Certainly, the outgoing base single cab long bed version made a much better argument for itself compared to the competition in terms of price and capability.

As a two time Silverado owner my comments are: PROS - 400 hp, panoramic sun roof, seats, stylish wheels, running boards, attractive dash. CONS - Cheap, cheap plastic on the inside top door panels, cheesy looking aluminum face plate on the back of the truck, boring analog lamps!

I just feel like it’s still not enough Nissan. Minor updates to mpg and horsepower will not get it past Ford Chevy Dodge. Unless this truck is priced 10k less than the competitors it’s going to miss all sales predictions. Nissan to standout you need 20 city 26 highway and maybe 500 torque.
