What separates the Mentors from other bands of this ilk, at least in my humble opinion, is that the Mentors had a much higher level of musicianship than those other bands. Eldon (Duce) could really play his drums (at least when he wasn't drunk or stoned). Steve (Heathen) had it going on with his badass bass, and Eric (Wifebeater) was one helluva guitarist, perhaps on a level with other more famous guitar-playing Erics. Listen to what they're doing as a band and you'll catch my drift!

There is a humor factor with The Mentors, a dark horrible nasty humor that we love to embrace; THIS DOES NOT MAKE THE FANS RAPISTS. I, personally, hold women in the highest regard...it doesnt mean I'm not going to make jokes at their expense. Once you let go of barriers and just insult and joke about everything, there is no bias. Its not for everyone, but this is how people choose to live their life.
