- Tomato Kuruma can be made in different ways. This type is very famous in Salem, it will be nice for idly, dosa, parrota, porri, chappathi and wheat dosa.
Ingredients
To grind Masala
Tomato - Bangalore tomato - 3, country tomato - 3 ( you can take each 2 to 4 according to the size)
Small onions - 4
Garlic cloves - 6
Ginger - 1 "inch
Green chilly - 1
Jeera, fennel seeds, kasakasa - 1 tsp each
Cinnamon - 2 inch
Cloves - 5
Coconut - 5 tbs
Roasted gram dhal - 2 tbs
Chilly powder, Coriander powder - 1,1/2 tsp each
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Oil - 1 tsp
In oil fry all this as shown and grind it to a smooth paste, adding little water.
Big onion - 1
Mustard seeds, bay leaf, salt, curry, Coriander leaves.
In 3 tsp of oil fry mustard seeds, bay leaf, add chopped onion and fry for 2 minutes. Add grinded paste, salt, 2 glass of water, curry leaves and allow to boil for 5 minutes.
Add Coriander leaves and switch off. Now delecius Tomato Kuruma is ready.
