I appreciate your honesty so much. I am am almost 4wks into a bad tibial plateau fracture and 2wks post surgery...I've got a plate and several pins. I likely have torn ligaments in my knee as well. Had to fix the break first. I broke it during a fall mountain biking. It was 2 days after a 25k trail race, I just started getting into ultra running last Spring, so to find out I may never run again has been quite upsetting. I generally spread my time betweent mtb, running, swimming, kayaking, and weight training. So, running isn't my only outlet, but running has been my go to for over a decade. It requires less planning, I can just go outside. I am hopeful it will come back in time. I am 44 and a mom, so it is especially difficult for me to slow down and depend on others to do all the things for me. I keep buying concert tickets for the fall, something else that brings me joy, so looking forward to those! Thank you for making me laugh this past year and inspiring!

Fingers crossed for you but you’re obviously a strong person before the injury so remember that for the rehab and it will definitely help 💪🏻
