    What a lovely wreath! A nice choice of fabrics to show us how different the projects can look! I do love these projects where you join pieces together and make a large item. I've made presents and recipients can't believe I made them on smaller hoops. I just tell them it is the magic of machine embroidery! Thanks for this video. You explain each step so clearly. Do you ever get fed up with saying "Add the.... and tape it down"? It is lovely that you do say it every time it is needed.

      Thank you pleased you enjoy my videos and find them helpful. It is magic isn't it watching a design grow and keeps people guessing how your did it lol. Do I get fed up with repeating things, no not at all, its all part of the learning process. More experienced embroiderers most likely lay their fabric down without removing the hoop or taping it down unless absolutely necessary but as I aim these videos at everyone right down to the absolute beginner, for them until they get the hang of things it is an important step and it keeps their fingers safe and in tact. It's so easy to badly misjudge the power and speed of an embroidery machine needle. I am sure most of use have had a close encounter of the needle kind at some point and thought I wont be doing that again in a hurry. Thank you for watching and happy stitching and thanks for your feedback.

      @@KaysCutz Thank you. The first time I watched one of your videos I was amazed at what can be done on an embroidery machine and your clear explanations were just what I needed. Not being one to start with simple things I started with the Koru placemats! I gave them to my son and his wife as a housewarming present and they were delighted!

      Marian You need to just go for it, cut your fabrics and stitch along with me. The more you think about it the more you tend to talk yourself out of it. This design is very easy to make and once you have done one you will have the confidence to try anything. So go on give it a try. Happy stitching

      Sure. Hi Madeline it is called stretch mirror foil spandex. I bought it here - www.remnanthousefabric.co.uk/stretch-mirror-foil-sparkle?search=stretch%20mirror%20foil%20sparkle&category_id=0&sub_category=true

    This is fantastic - thank you. You really do inspire me to try embroidery and ITH designs. Do you have anything for gingerbread men/women or reindeer? Would like to do some felt ones and perhaps have 2/3 small ones in a hoop to minimise the waste of stabiliser. Very new to this so please excuse my ignorance if a) this isn’t possible, d) you can’t use felt.

    • @KaysCutz
      @KaysCutz  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jennifer pleased you find these vids helpful thanks for watching them. Yes you can use felt no problem at all but it does wear eventually quicker than cotton. I dont have any small reindeer vids but I do have a large one. do have a video for recycling stabilizer scraps but to be honest stabilizer is the foundation of your embroidery, if it fails the whole thing fails I don't worry about the waste anymore, I accept it is a part of machine embroidery.
      I have a large applique reindeer video that is fabulous for putting on jumpers and such here is the link. The design link is in the video description. Happy stitching. th-cam.com/video/TXxGYZ-FIj0/w-d-xo.html

    Love to know what you do with all the excess stabilizer?

    • @KaysCutz
      @KaysCutz  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      When I get time I recycle some of it. I use a PVA glue stick and glue the usable bits together into sheets then I use it. You can stitch cut away together with a zigzag stitch and use that too. I made a video of how to recycle the bits, here is the link th-cam.com/video/i9lQV0bAbBk/w-d-xo.html
